Vasectomy , Yes or No ?

Ok gents. Who here had a vasectomy? What’s the procedure like and how did it change ejaculating ? I have a paranoia that a girl will trap me with an unplanned pregnancy. I’ve seen it happen. An unplanned baby at age 49 or 51 will throw a lot of cold water on your next chapter. So, a vasectomy seams like a smart move.

Had mine 15 years ago after having my 3rd child. Procedure was easy and painless, maybe a day of discomfort when trying to lift things. Totally worth it. Cumming is exactly the same, libido unaffected. Creampies galore. Chicks dig it.
purchase a bag of frozen peas for the recovery day. Retain the fertility lab report - 3 month post vasectomy . I was asked for proof . Doc tosses files after 10 years. Blood in cum a few shots after.

My Italian buddy and his wife were done having kids and he got the snip.
Wife became preggo after a little while.
We all waited to see if the kid came out non-italian looking :ROFLMAO: ....turned out to be twins as italian as they come.
A great case to support CIM :)

Apart from some brief pain for a few days post op, there are no downsides to be honest (actually to be fully honest, I had a bit more pain after ejaculation for a few months, apparently happens rarely, and I did not care. Slightly achy balls for half a hour for zero chance of pregnancy….). Zero change in orgasms / ejaculation. Keep in mind that sperm make up less than 5% of the volume of semen.

Find a doc who does the “no scalpel” technique it’s a quick, office based procedure. No anesthesia/ sedation. Just local. Faster recovery, less pain/ bruising after. It was a bit weird having your balls out and the doc finding your vas and cutting and clipping it off. The only discomfort during was a bit of a pulling, tugging sensation in your scrotum/ balls.

As others have said, ice is your friend after and keep activities a minimum for several days (eg no heavy lifting/ intense exercise/ sex). I had some bruising a few days after, NBD.

IMO, every guy who is sure he doesn’t want to father any more children should do it. It’s not cutting your balls off, just the tiny tube that carries sperm to mix with your semen.

Minor discomfort/pain and no heavy lifting for a week or so. Ice is your best friend. Wear loose and comfortable pants for about a week or so. Get sperm check done at 3 months (should be zero) and 1 year (my preference) after getting it done. your doc will cover all of this. And take some ibuprofen just after getting snipped to help with any discomfort and swelling after the local wears off.

Did it 19 years ago, after my second child. I believe libido goes in overdrive because pregnancy is out of the equation.

The doctor and the nurses were kind of amazed because wasn’t too often they have a Latin man doing the procedure.

Had mine 24 years ago after we had twins. Not much to add other than if you have a significant other, milk it for all it's worth. Play up the huge physical sacrifice you made, men are notorious for being sucks after medical procedures anyway, so lean into it. Make her treat you like a king for as many days after as you can lol. Also, the first orgasm after, bust so you can see it and don't do it alone. Not sure what timeline they recommend waiting now, I was told 10-14 days back then. There will probably be so much volume that it will be a sight to see, not to be wasted inside a condom, or jacking off alone. But also, practically speaking, it's good to make sure there isn't anything abnormal in the cum, especially blood, although you'd probably notice that problem in other ways earlier than a couple weeks. I was in my early 30's when I had mine and it was agony waiting 2 weeks, I'm surprised just the water pressure in the shower didn't put me over the edge lol. But I came so hard when my wife sucked me and then finished me by hand that the first blast hit the wall over my head and the second got me in the face lol.

Not quite a zero chance of pregnancy. Even after checking level after 3 months having zero semen presence your body may reconnect the vas deferens. It's rare but it does happen. I should know :)

Fair point. There is a small failure rate, I agree.

Question for those you done it.

Did OHIP cover it or pay out of pocket?

Anyone did it even without a kid?

Did mine over 20 years ago after all the kids arrived we wanted. No big issue.
The biggest factor for me doing it was the rising risk understood at the time for my wife being on birth control pills for extended periods into middle age.

Had mine 26 years ago after having twins lol.... did not hesitate for 1 seconds. If doctors could not do it, I would have done it myself.

I think it only took 2-3 mins and it was all done.

Ohip covers but reversal is not. That was under 20 ago. Not sure if that has changed.

I did it age 30ish having no kids. They typically dont like doing when a guy is younger but I didn't have any problems at early 30s.

Yeah I was 32 and my doc questioned me a bit. Even when my wife got pregnant and before we knew it was twins, I was like "this will be it", and he was "are you sure?". YES I'm sure. I only signed up for one in the first place lol

Got it. Do you freeze your sperm in case you want to have kids in future ? Or is the the reversal procedure is pretty guarantee to regain sperm back ?
