Watched a documentary on him a couple of years ago. Likeable guy. So sad that he killed himself slowly with the devil's weed.
Throat cancer. From smoking cigarettes.

From the documentary, he said he started smoking around age 12, if I remember correctly.
The devil's pie should have killed me a long time ago, but for the long dry spells, which probably saved my miserable life.

Val Kilmer played Doc Holliday the best, he looked like a man who had tuberculosis.

To be honest I'm surprised Val Kilmer lasted as long as he did. He was coughing his guts up when he made Tombstone and that was over 30 years ago.
