I'm sure the other clients have you set on advice about seeing providers... so I will note, if you want to actually have a vacation and explore the city you're in, I recommend googling what the weather is like at the time you are going. For example, it is rainy season in Thailand in August, this doesn't sound like a good time for me, but maybe you love the rain, or prefer indoor activities and don't mind traveling around in the rain =)
I will also note, I ABSOLUTELY HATE Europe in August. A lot of Europeans have August off and most tourist destinations are over priced and packed, which is not fun for me, I want to get to know a city as the locals experience it, and that is just not August in Europe for my experience, especially in my country (Portugal). I recommend Portugal for so many reasons (I think an hour is around 150ish Euro, so not necessarily cheap, but the Portuguese women are gorgeous (though I'm obviously bias =P), there's lots of women from our old Colonies (Brazil, Cabo Verde, Angola etc) as well as Eastern Europe. But I do not feel like Portugal is Portugal in August. However, it is still a lot of fun, especially in the villages known for surfing as there is lots of tourists, so it really just depends what you want out of your vacation. I do not like fighting to get a beer from my favourite beach bar at 1pm, so its a no for me haha
