The fuckin government doesn't do nothing, they like jacking up prices on everything, fuck all of them
Govt are not jacking up prices, blame that on the companies selling they are price gouging, I would even accuse them of price fixing or collusion. Govt are following the normal strategies to slow inflation or during covid to stop a recession. Pumping all that money into people hands was a catalyst to the inflation we are feeling now because people were willing to buy things at any price. Why not when you have free money.. now that prices are up, it will be slow to go down.

When they act to slow inflation the govt is blamed, when they don't the are still to blame. According to you people the government can never do anything right. Even when it's not their fault they get blamed.
When the PC failed the liberals were voted in, when they didnt make ppl happy the NDP was voted in, then back to PC, liberals, PC again and now there are complaints.. people are never satisfied.

I started a online clothing store online and found suppliers overseas during the beginning of the pandemic. Some shipments have been late but nothing too serious. Shipping cost starting going up last year and have been climbing ever since. Now price increases and more shipping increases I’ve raised my prices at Christmas and 5 percent and last month another 5 percent and one more 5 to 6 percent by end of July. On top of that I add admin fess to shipping 12 Percent and sales just keep going up and up and up to my surprise. I’m not selling low or very high end. T’s 10 to 15 bucks and hoodies . 25 to 60 dollars. Every month I wait for a sales dip but numbers keep going up. I still hear my friends renting 5000 per weekend cottages and buying 80k pick up trucks. Food prices are high but at least we don’t have serious shortages and then then look at the sex industry. Girls are booked up and doing very well. I’m stumped

If you can wait, order a new car and wait it out. At least it's a new car and you buy at MSRP... because used car (esp Hybrid) are selling at above new MSRP now !!!

Tax? Which tax? The income tax they pay from $29K a year is less than HST rebate they'll receive, so the actual tax is almost zero.

Same here, I am confused as to where and how people are enjoying paying $5k for a cottage weekend.. or where did you have that money? 5 yrs ago it was less than $2k, all prices doubled with pandemic with stay cations. Demand drive prices up, how to stop inflation ? Lower demand, govt intervention is only a stop gap measure, it's temporary to a point and causing worse consequences. Here's my suggestion..

START A STOP SHOPPING FOR A WEEK TREND.. meaning do not buy anything for a week, do not horde prior to that either, just make do with whatever food or makeup or drink in your house..medicines excepted.

We as consumers drive the economy, retailer raise prices because we are willing to pay more.

Order a new car and wait a few months -Agree
You forgot to add Dealer Markup on top of the MSRP
A total rip off, greed, gouging or whatever one can call it.

Local Kia dealer will have no new cars for at least 6 months.

This is a major flaw in globalization. Today it’s micro chips for cars. What if it’s medicine tomorrow…. Or coffee?😳
also the "just in time" inventory has caused this problem as well

Such shortage will likely be short-lived. I guess supply of
everything other than oil and gas will be back to normal after
the pandemic. Everything is going to be more pricey though.
As long as oil and gas prices remain extraordinarily high we will continue to have supply chain disruptions and shortages of goods. This is a relatively easy fix but the Biden gov't (and Trudeau gov't) will not take steps to surge production because it doesn't fit their green agenda. Meanwhile China and India are getting cheap Russian oil and gas.

Actually the ones that should go to jail are the right wing nuts who stormed the WH. Wait some are, but their dictator wanna be is still grifting his supporters and propping up his failing businesses. It's funny how these right wing nuts have a thing against the Chinese communist party but nothing against the Russian "communist " actually Russia is run by a dictator now...but that's OK to them I guess.
"Stormed' the WH, that's a good one. You realize that most of them were voluntarily let in, right? But don't let the facts get in the way of your beliefs.
I guess you're including me as one of these 'right wing nuts'? I can tell you that while I am no fan of Putin or Russia they aren't close to being the main adversary or threat to western civilization.

In 2019 I sold my 2007 Porsche Cayman for $23K and thought I made out like a bandit. The guy I sold it to just resold it last month for $40K. F.M.L…
You still did good selling it for 23k...the guy who paid 40k well...good luck to that...not sure about your Cayman's condition but my brother regretted buying a Cayman after driving it for a month...said my X5 is way way better.

Actually, the prices really surged early this spring, except lumber which jumped the year before. Nothing to do with Trump. BTW, they haven't started using the steel for the "infrastructure plan", yet. As there's no such thing as a "shovel ready" project in the North American planning and execution. So, you can attempt to make it about Trump, but that's just another stupid conversation.
Here's some science for you: prices started to rise in March of 2020, when Trump was president:

Here's something else to think about, one of the reasons steel was so expensive is because Trump imposed tariffs on imported steel. The US is the largest steel importer in the world. So, yeah, Trump sure as fuck had a role to play in the surge in steel prices. Now, to be fair, which is something right-wingers cannot understand, I will say that Trump is not behind all the issues. No one person is, no matter how much you want to blame Biden. The reality is much of the international supply chain is still in flux. In 2020 and '21, iron ore mines and still mills were shut down in various parts of the world due to labor issues (including covid). Now, there is a big disruption due to Russia and Ukraine. This is obviously a macro issue that cannot be pinned down to one country, one leader, one policy.

Cayman, especially the first gen .2 are going to become very sought after as a future collectible imho. Prices are reflecting that. The .1 are bore score risks, which was why I decided to bail on it, but I’m always looking for a later model 987. The newer ones outside of the GT4 are not worth it. For the money I’d just pony up the extra bucks and get a 911.
