Doesn't matter, Yemeni were targeting Israeli imports.
What matters is whether the US has declared war or just think any country can bomb any other country when they want.
Get the facts straight.
Yemenis are not doing the terrorists attacks and hostage taking of civilians against "Israeli imports", the Houthis are.
The indisciminate attacks by the Houthi rebels have killed 4 civilians and interrupted over a trillion dollars in trade.
"The Houthis are non-state actors in Yemen who have used Iran’s support to gradually expand their military capabilities since at least 2015. In early December 2023, the Houthis threatened to attack any ships that they believed were heading to Israeli ports, though many of their attacks both before and since have been against civilian ships with either tenuous or no known Israeli affiliations or port calls."

None of the 70 ships so far had anything to do with Israel.
The closest tie to Israel was a British-owned and Japanese-operated ship that was bound for India when it was captured. The Houthis have presented no evidence of military targets on board. The parent company
of the UK company that owns the ship is owned by an Israeli businessman, but this does not make the ship a legitimate military target.

The rebels maintain that they have targeted ships linked to Israel, the United States or the U.K. to force an end to Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza. However, many of the ships attacked have little or no connection to the conflict, including some bound for Iran.
