Poor little rich white girl gets cold feet hops a bus to get away from a wedding, media decides she has been abducted, plasters the headlines, makes it a big deal, she gets freaked at all the media coverage calls home, lies to cops, then tells truth, media then continues with the story even interviewing wedding planners to discuss "cold feet syndrom"...seems this the media trying to give reasons/excuses for the little rich white girl,

If the media gave this much attention to actual misssing children, maybe we could find a few of them :rolleyes:

Actually SHE had no idea about the media coverage was shocked to find out her story was national.

It very much appeared like an abduction like many others in the last few years and many of them were murdered.

Rich white girl had nothing to do with it -seems like more your issue.

The issue is though, that the story just went on and on and on. Every time I went to CNN it was running ad nauseam. Even when it initially started I thought to myself that either her fiance had bumped her off or she had run away. I guess now she will write a book and do the talk show circuit..Only in the States!!!!!!!!!

If she was so rich why did she run out of money?.I do thinkshe should be charged with at least making a false police report and pay back the money that was spent on the search.

There was no police report filed by her, she just went missing and never told anyone.

I don't think it's a " US " media thing. It's more like a common approach to milk the story to the max, for any broadcasting stations.
