Women that are religious are a different species for me. No i never found any religious women that felt oppressed.

But i may be biased as I grew up in Quebec. Which is not very religious and with women who would yes quite easily open their legs, as you say. Maybe not the first night but it was quick to action.

At a soccer game at the end of summer I stumbled upon a girl that was waiting for her daughter as I was waiting for the start of my son's game. We recognized each other from college. We talked for 30 seconds then she goes 'hey haven't we slept together?' a few times my dear, a few times 😷
Anecdotally I know a guy who intimated to me that he likes religious women because they are easier to control.
Well, then he got himself a religious woman who cheated on him and doesn’t ever do anal. He is in love and forgave her for cheating. I bet if she cheated again he’d forgive her again.

So....Maybe y'all have missed this, but have you heard of TradWives? That's a christian movement where wives are basically stay-at-home slaves who must listen to their husbands and produce babies....

How different is that from what this Imam is saying? This might come as a shock to the right-wingers on here, but a lot of the conservative movement has started to look this way. It starts with removing the ability for a woman to have an abortion, and now they're talking about making divorce significantly more difficult. It is very misogynistic, and from there is means that maybe women shouldn't have the right to vote or hold jobs....
'' is a woman who believes in and practices traditional gender roles and marriages. Some may choose to take a homemaking role within their marriage,[2] and others leave their careers to focus on meeting their family's needs in the home.[2][4] ''

Some just terrible stuff right here, lol....I see later on in the piece they managed to squeeze the tie in with conspiracy theories. Shocking really.

Had she found Jesus and accepted him as her personal saviour you
would have been denied the wonderful free sex after the 30 second
encounter. Actaully religion could be a worse oppressor of fun-loving
guys than oppressor of women.

Maybe you should talk to former Rebel media star and right-wing agitator Lauren Southern and see what her thoughts are on being a trad-wife.

What you seem to miss is right-wing islamists and right-wing MAGAs are reading from the same choir book. Women should be kept at home, listen to their husbands, not be allowed to make choices, and should have as many kids as possible....

Just took a glance at the other pieces that Current affairs has to offer...Hmmm...All going hard left. Not too surprised really.

'' She espoused an ideology that sounded fine (women should enjoy enslavement) ''. That's pretty much sums up the tone of the entire article...Oh and they mention patriarchy a whole bunch

The trad-wife phenomenon is modelled off of the traditional Mormon housewife caricature. These types have to use a lot of SSRI's.

Granted, that was a fairly leftist take on things, but do your own searching. Lauren Southern has written about her experience, and why she left her husband. She's very right-wing....
