Another example of the nonsense that goes on in the world.
Complaining about a potentially unhealthy ingredient in fried chicken!
It's fried chicken people.
My god.
You cannot eat fried chicken or big macs etc and complain they clog your arteries, raise your blood pressure or that you gain weight!
I eat it once in a blue moon because I love the taste, regardless that I know it is horrible for me. That's how it works lol.

Yeah, if you are eating fried chicken you are past caring about your health.

It's like eating a huge meal and than turning down the after dinner mint even through it's wafer thin.

I have not had KFC for years, not because of the MSG. it is because they use pidgeon sized chickens. The chicken drum sticks are barely 4 inches long.

FIY - An experiment was done at a university where half of the participants claimed to have MSG sensitivity and the other half were random people that made no claim of MSG sensitivity. Over several weeks they were fed all sorts of food in groups from restaurant style foods like pizza, Chinese food, BBQ chicken, fast foods and snack foods. Some of the foods were prepared as usual with MSG and some were prepared purposely without MSG. There were times that people complained of MSG sensitivity where there was no MSG, and there were other times when people had foods with MSG and did not complain. The most telling thing about the study was when people were given snack foods no one complained when they ate Doritos chips, which is one prepared food that is loaded with MSG.
I agree the drumsticks are the ones that did it to me, they were so small.

I've had KFC (the Big Crunch sandwich combo) once in the past two years. I can't eat the fried foods anymore my gut can't take it. I'll occasionally use my air fryer which is much healthier.
I do chicken in the air fryer, but never tried the batter one.

Cabbagetown

Hammer's early 90's KFC commercials essentially ended his career as a radio friendly unit shifter. A Black man dancing for fried chicken is a street cred deal breaker.

When I was a kid it was a special thing for us to bring home a bucket of chicken from Kentucky Fried Chicken ('cause that's what we called it back then - none of this KFC nonsense) for dinner. And the next day eating it cold was a treat! The chicken back then was good and tasty. Now the pieces are getting smaller every year, the flavour is bland and the stuff is swimming in oil. Ugh. Give me Popeyes.
I remember it was a treat to get. The outlet where I grew up had the old big bucket sign that at one time I thought it spun in circles.

A few of us one night wanted fast food fried chicken so we picked up KFC, Popeyes and Mary Brown's. Mary Brown's won hands down. It was way, way less greasy, much less salty and the texture was better,

Popeyes and KFC were distant seconds and a split decision.
