I think the issue of exploitation is a different issue entirely. Even at the minimum range of $200 in Toronto, there should be enough cash for everybody. But if the agency or controllers take 90%, of $200 or of $500, then it is pure exploitation.
Are you suggesting the average rate in the GTA is not high enough and therefore the "hobbyists" should deserve to be gouged like the oil companies do to the car owners?

When it comes to egos insecurities, there are no difference between superrich and the average Joes. The only difference may be the average Joes will not display their "inadquacy" so explicitly while the superrich or presumely highly leveraged superrich wannabe will do it in high profile.
