Uniblue Registry Booster - a rip off

Thought you should know. THere's a product out there called Uniblue Registry Booster. I came across it on looking for a solution to a problem. They said it was free and would detect and fix registry problems. So I stupidly allowed them to go into my registry. But what they did was said they found 40 problems but could only fix 15 for free. They said I would now need to buy their software to fix the rest of the problems. Furthermore, they implied that if I didn't buy the software I could have problems resulting from them being unable to complete some processes for the 15 they supposedly did fix. Sounds like a major rip off and I thought you all should know about it. So far I really don't see that I have any added problems.

I go to snapfiles.com, click on freeware, then Registry tools. My favorite is one called reg seeker, it has an excellent cleaner function. I only do this for friends though, I have been exclusively on linux now for 4 and a half years. I can do that because I'm a smarty pants!

I decided to take the plunge and try Abexo. It found over 1000 registry problems but on deleting it only removed 94. So far I see no change in performance. Its possible my computer is running a little slower but I'll need more time to tell if that is true.

Strange!! - Since my last report I have rebooted several times. For whatever reason, I now seem to be getting better performance and fewer crashes. It would seem the only explanation for this is the Abexo Registry cleaner.
