These guys are bullshitting you.

However one thing to be careful of: When you disconnect everything, make sure and stop the network flow first before unplugging the cable. Otherwise the packets will pour out all over the floor and create a real mess.
I did that by mistake. Nothing but porn all over the office. Took half a day to clean up.

I know this is probably in the wrong forum but I thought I might get a bit more response in here. I am taking my computer desk apart because its too big, I'm moving it to the other side of the room. My question is would I have to re-install my router when I finish hooking everything back up or can I just plug it back in and everything will be the same?

Thanks
The answer is yes. Best idea is to use colour coded cables so you don't forget. The rest of the thread is basically dudes playing with your mind

Personally I like to sit and watch the data stream, so I use clear ones.

Get yourself a glass of wine and a good book, head down to the data stream, man that's living.

If you download porn and do that, it gives a whole new meaning to 'looking at the naughty bits.'

You do have a point there.

I just love to sit and watch the data stream flow while sipping a glass of wine.

burt-oh-my!

If you are looking at porn when you disconnect the router, the data tends to come out in spurts. So you had better put a condom over the end of the disconnected cable to prevent accidents. I forgot once and my laser printer got pregnant. Gave birth to several dot-matrix's a few months later. And another time my mouse cord developped some strange blisters...

LOL LOL LOL

This brighten up my morning.

Brings back memories I use to play on my client and friends.. lol

Thanks guys

P.S. Fuji all you had to is go along with it.. I'm sure one of the guys will eventually tell his it is all ok to move the "switch" and all his setting will be the same..
