Underrated songs by bands that are outside of their normal genre

I have three that come to mind:

The Stampeders : Wild Eyes - from the group that had Sweet City Woman!

Kiss: In the Jungle. This is a GREAT hard rocking song!

Bachman Turner Overdrive: Blue Collar. About as far from 'Taking Care of Business ' as you can get.

I saw his Power Swing tour at the CNE grandstand and it was great!

You could tell it was a one off album and to hear him explore a musical genre unlike his other work was a treat. Tickets were $17!

The sappy “Everything Is Beautiful” went to number one for Ray Stevens in 1970, it was a major departure from the string of novelty songs he was best known for at the time.

Roger Miller had a hit with “Husbands and Wives” in 1966, it was a mature adult themed song different from the wacky tunes he was usually recording. Same with “King of the Road”.
