That was my question too. What's one race? Is Bolt on record still the fastest?Fair enough that Bolt laxed his training and deserved to lose, however, who currently holds the olympic gold and world record?
But in this race, he ran his hardest, as he was trailing the leader. With no head wind to blame, he only ran 9.97 seconds, much slower than his 9.58 record. He might be slipping, at least this year he is.That was my question too. What's one race? Is Bolt on record still the fastest?
So true. Same guys who can't see their own wang due to their bellies. This thread brought to you by guys who couldn't run 100m in 20 seconds... let alone know what it's like to be the best in the world at anything.
Even this link has finally been dropped. When I looked at it, my impression was that Bolt wasn't going full tilt at the end. The photo in this thread probably wasn't taking near the end. Did he quit, was he gased, or was he just beat this day. Only he really knows. He is an amazing athlete, but I 've never thought him a class athlete or one to emulate.OMG, he's not invincible after all. Youtube videos are being taken down. But here's one:

I'm not sure I understand the logic behind this post. Does this mean that nobody should post about a hockey or football player because they can't skate, or throw and catch a football? Should they also not post about Bill Gates or Michael Jackson because they've never run a multi-billion dollar corporation or can't sing? This thread brought to you by guys who couldn't run 100m in 20 seconds... let alone know what it's like to be the best in the world at anything.

It's not at all about being allowed to post, it's simply that I find it pathetic that people who: 1) know nothing about the man personally and 2) haven't a clue about what it takes to be at the very top of any endeavour, let alone elite sprinting; can question the motivations, training, mental toughness, etc., of Usain Bolt. Up until yesterday, the man had been undefeated in over two years, holds every record in the sprints and is actually going back to training for the 400m, his original event (along with the 200m) as a youth. All while with continuing in the 100, 200 and relays.I'm not sure I understand the logic behind this post. Just wondering.
I agree. When one is on top and ranked #1 in any sport, there are always lots of people that will be extra motivated and will train harder in order to defeat him/her.Christ at this level the littlest thing could cost you any race.
He was bound to get beat at some point in time the only question was when it was going to happen.
