For what its worth here's my pics

Machida vs Shogun........... Machida. If you can't hit him then how do you win
Rothwell vs Velasquez........Velasquez. His wrestling is superior to Rothwell's
takedown defence.
Stevenson vs Fisher..........Stevenson. Has more top caliber competition
experience and it will show.
Johnson vs Yoshida........... johnson. He's an up and coming star and will
KO Yoshida.

Graet top of the card but the rest isn't too impressive.
I think this is the end of the Machida reign.
Should be a great 5 round fight BUT I think Shogun by split decision.

Tibau - Decision
Fisher -Decision
Yoshida - Sub in the 3rd
Okami - Decision
Hardonk - TKO

I like Shogun but Machida is Machida... he's pretty much untouchable. He gets hit ONCE every 2.5 rounds, lol how's that for a stat for you?

If it goes the distance, he'll get hit twice? Shogun better make those 2 shots count.

And if anybody really thinks Rothwell will beat Valesquez, you're outta your mind. I'd put money on Cain any day of the week.

Wicked fight, Machida didn't deserve to win, but I don't he should have lost.
They should have called this match a draw.
Can't wait for round 2.

Machida didn't win a round . The decision was a joke. I am not a Rua fan but he clearly won. UFC is turning into a joke!

Agreed.

Shogun won at least 4 out of 5 rounds. Machida did absolutely nothing to defend his title. My hats out to Shogun, finally someone from Pride showing they have some.

You can't blame the UFC for the decision....
The judges are brought in by Athletic Commision...
They need a new generation of judges who are more familiar with MMA and more clear cut scoring system for the sport.

The Machida Shogun fight was fantastic....
Looks like Shogun trained hard and studied his opponent....
Countering with leg or body kicks everytime Machida threw something at him....Keep his hands tight and proving to be more "Elusive" than Machida....

I think the only thing Shogun did wrong was that he should pressed the fight more in the last two rounds....And in the last round he should have really tried to hurt or put away Machida.....A little more action or damage on Machida could have swayed the decision his way....

Hopefully a Rematch is set up right away.....

Doesn't matter. Even calling it a draw, Machida still retains championship.

If the judges didn't want to award the title to Rua on points or decided that his "victory" wasn't decisive enough then they should have at least rendered a split decision in favour of Machida.

I seriously wonder what fight the judges were watching when they come to a unanimous decision for Machida.

Can someone say rematch ??

It was a pretty close match but I don't think in anyway Shogun dominated enough to give him the belt. If it was a draw or split, Machida should have retained the title. Anytime Shogun attacked it was countered against Machida, and everytime Shogun tried to take him down he couldn't. It appeared Shogun was more of the agressor that made it appear that he should have won but Machida style countered and that takes just as much skill. I would like to see a rematch because it was a very technical and close match. We've just been spoiled with their immediate knockouts and stuff.

Shogun clearly won at least 3 rounds if not 4. He landed more damaging blows. Sure he was stuffed on his takedown attempts but that's just part of being the aggressor. Machida was 0/0 on takedowns. Machida could barely walk and his ribs were all red and had a cut on his face. Shogun could have gone another 5 rounds. This is a repeat of the deaf guy and bisping all over again.

On point.

I was pissed when I heard the decision. Then I thought, well yeah, if you're the champion, the title has to be taken from you. The unwritten rule. I'm sure if it wasn't a title match it would have when the other way. But unanimous decision? No fucking way!

Machida-Shogun reminds me of Forrest-Rampage. Decisions in title fights that could have gone either way.

Personally, I think this is the right call - a champion should be beaten somewhat decisively. (Unlike the Griffin-Jackson decision.)

I agree with Manji, Shogun should have done more to ensure a victory. Hopefully the UFC does the right thing - again, unlike Rampage-Forrest (and yes, I know about 'Page's problems, but if he'd been told he'd get an immediate shot, I bet he wouldn't have had the meltdown) - and immediately sets up a mandatory rematch between the two as the next LHW title fight. No interim fights or other b.s.

Lyoto vs. Shogun scores:
Nelson Hamilton gave Lyoto rounds 2, 3 and 4.
Cecil Peoples and Marcos Rosales gave the Dragon rounds 1, 2 and 3.
I was surprised by Rothwell's poor showing, particularly with the striking. Velasquez is very good, but still has some holes in his game, particularly his defence. All I can say is that someone better beat Cain while he's still learning. Even at that, I think he's the #2 heavyweight in the UFC next to Brock (who I think is too big and strong for Velasquez.)
