US spending is mostly salaries. 1 US nuclear ballaistic missile sub costs 8x what a Russian one does. And an SU-35 costs only 17M to produce in Russia vs what about 84M flyaway cost for an F-35. Plus the share tech with Iran and NK so they can get really cheap, good quality ammo from an even lower cost production base.

The only strategic bomber in production in Russia today is the TU 160 and they only plan to build 10 of these by 2027 and another 40 by 2035. They have lots of TU-95 in reserve as well as many TU-22s so they will probably upgrade those and put a few back into service if they feel they need to replace the losses or accelerate the PAK-DA program. The SU-34 can already carry so a few of those can probably replace a TU-95
Hmm, the reprisal attack on Kherson was pretty sad without the full fleet of bombers.
Seems they could only hit civilian targets and now are left with threats about WWIII

Ukraine just wiped out a couple of billion in bombers using drones that cost thousands.
That metaphor works on Russia as well.
