As opposed to the residents of Avdivka who saw Soviet made T-80's attacking their village?
My understanding is that invasion into Ukraine doesn't have
that element of surprise. By the same reasoning I presume it
is the Germans in Cologne who were more shocked by the
allies' first bombing raid than British civilians in the Battle of
Britian.
It's sad you refuse to use the same standards when discussing Russia's invasion. Again, that was the cause of the conflict, not Ukraine daring to oppose the invasion.
Don't know what standard you are talking about. I don't feel sad at
all trying to understand the ongoing war using my common sense.
My understanding is one side invaded the other side in this war.
Defenders counterattacked and managed to surprise the invaders
by pulling off a counter-invasion. I expect there will be consequence to
the counter-invasion. What do you think the right response to Germany's
counter-invasion into Belgium in the Battle of the Bulge should have
been?
