People were supporting Vinicius from all over the world and just because they’re typing in English, doesn’t mean they all come from England.
The only one who said Spain was racist was Vicicius himself, and that was an emotional response in the heat of the moment. It was something that blew up on social media and people were mostly talking about how the racist element (which all countries have) is embedded deep within their footballing world.
Like it or not, the Uk and Italy are shaping up to be allies in disgraceful anti migrant polices that may, or have already caused harm.
Anti-migrant policies delayed rescue after a shipwreck that killed 90 people.

here at least 72 people died in a shipwreck in February just metres from the Italian shore.
Protesters scattered cuddly toys on the ground of a square close to where the cabinet meeting was taking place in a gesture highlighting the 18 children who died in the wreck. Some held a banner reading “Not in our name … Calabria has a big heart, you don’t!”
Other signs read “They could have been saved”, and some of the protesters called for the resignation of the deputy prime minister Matteo Salvini – who has

Italian authorities failed to intercept the boat and help the migrants safely to shore after Frontex, the European border agency, alerted them to its presence in waters where Italy is responsible for carrying out search-and-rescue operations.
Even before the disaster, Meloni’s government had been under fire for restricting the activities of humanitarian groups rescuing migrants at risk of drowning in the Mediterranean.
Meloni’s government has actively sabotaged the NGO-led search and rescue missions attempting to save lives at sea. Under her government’s
new legislation, boats that have rescued migrants onboard cannot remain at sea to continue their mission. They must go to assigned ports based in northern Italy by Italian authorities, days of sailing away from the main theatre of operations. This has resulted in a drastic reduction of the time the vessels can engage in saving lives, and surely a corresponding increase in the death rate.
institutionalized anti-migrant rhetoric has poisoned the “mentality” among rescuers, fomenting an atmosphere of fearful obedience that punishes the kind of spontaneity needed to push out to sea on a hunch.
“Previously we were able to go out and save lives first, then discuss these things after the fact,” he said. “But now there is a climate of fear.”
