I won a beer at the bar tonight. I took Rampage in the 1st and won. The other day Rampage said that he has Chuck's number like Chuck had Tito's number. I now believe him. Chuck didnt look like himself, he seemed like he didnt know what to do. I think Chuck remembers Rampage's strength from the first fight and he knows that he can take a punch as well as give it out. He's the only opponnet Chuck has faced that hits just as hard or harder then Chuck AND can take a punch. Rampage said he wakes up when he's hit hard, thats what made me bet the beers.

Chuck is a great champion but I don't think he can beat Rampage especially now that the "Big Show" jitters are over for him.

I'm a huge Rampage fan but I admit I couldn't pull the trigger and bet on him tonight. My gut feeling was to pick Rampage but then I started questioning myself and bet on Chuck.

I always liked Rampage but now I respect a lot more as a fighter.

Very disappointing. I'm not a Liddell fan and I'm glad Rampage won but that was very disappointing. Did McCarthy stop it too soon? When GSP knocked out Hughes he was allowed 6-8 punches and elbows on the ground before the fight was stopped. With this fight it was one punch maybe one more on the ground and McCarthy had his mind made up when Chuck hit the canvas. He was moving to stop it before Rampage threw any ground hits. Just my two cents.

I don't think McCarty stopped it to soon there was a point when Liddel was getting hit when both of arms were sticking up and obviously knocked out and couldn't defend himself.........what was funny most of the matches were white dudes fighting black dudes.....

the fight was not stopped too soon, Chuck was flat on his back motionless and defenseless ....that warrants a stoppage...when hughes was down he was aware enough to try to block GSP elbows but just couldnt stop the barrage. Quinton has Chuck's number for sure now...2-0 and an ass whipping in the first and an easy knockout in the 2nd.

I think Big John had it bank on when he stopped the fight. I think he really stops the major damage from happenning after knock out.

UFC fans just aren't that educated yet. They buy into the American hype machine. Rampage should have been a huge favorite.

LOL, I agree. I knew Chuck would loose as soon as all the celebs starting picking Chuck to win. I doubt anyone of them had seen Rampage fight in Pride.

Not sure even your hardcore fans was expecting a first round knockout. Critics of Chuck's legacy was that he hasn't fought any good strikers during his huge UFC run. Not his fault, the UFC just didn't have any at that time. Anyway, Page is just a bad match up for Chuck, much like Wandy is a bad match up for Page. Chuck's still a top LHW.

On that note, the LHW div is one exciting division now. Between Pride/UFC you have Page, Henderson, Shogun, Wand, Sokoudjou, Chuck, Bisping is on a roll, Arona, Minotoro, and on and on. That's one stacked division. Henderson vs Page will be exciting as hell - both can strike, both can wrestle, and Dan just layed a beating on Page's nemesis Wandy (though really, Wandy should NOT have been fighting that night).

I'd love to see Wanderlei Silva go up against Rampage.

I'd love to see how much of an underdog Vegas would make Silva after last night. The Dan Henderson fight would be a good fight to.

What do you guys think about Ortiz vs. Evans? I can't back this up with any real reasoning but I have a feeling Evans will win that fight.

His next fight is supposed to be Dan Henderson, is there anyone else you'd like to see him fight?
I know I'd like to see him fight Wanderlei as he's lost twice to him and I'd love to see Wanderlei fighting in the UFC again.
Tons of match ups. Hopefully we'll have more cross org fights with Pride. Sokoudjou is the real deal - knockout power, great footwork, Judo champ, strong as an ox. Shogun is another one, great Jiu Jitsu and ground and pound and also, strong as hell. Wanderlei needs a break from fighting. He's had two consecutive concussions. When he's back to his old self, he's got Page's number. Minotoro, if he focuses on MMA again, is another great matchup as he's an amateur boxer and his Jiu Jitsu's top notch. Brandon Vera, if he comes back to the UFC and goes down to LHW is another one.

The fight wasnt stopped too soon IMO. Chuck was Ko'd, his hands went down to the mat and he couldnt defend himself. Even after Big John dragged Page off him you can see in the slow-mo that Chuck's eye's were rolling.

I think the earlier fight between Ivan Salaverry was stopped too early.
