Date: Oct 13, 2012
Location: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Venue: HSBC Arena
Broadcast: Pay-per-view, FX, Facebook

MAIN CARD (Pay-per-view, 10 p.m. ET)

Anderson Silva vs. Stephan Bonnar - non-title light-heavyweight fight
Dave Herman vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
Fabio Maldonado vs. Glover Teixeira
Jon Fitch vs. Erick Silva
Phil Davis vs. Wagner Prado
Demian Maia vs. Rick Story

Anderson Silva vs. Stephan Bonnar....... Bonnar is going to get sacrificed in this one. Might then first death in the UFC and I'm not kidding.

Dave Herman vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira....Big Nog looked really out of shape in the weigh ins. I'll with Herman in an upset. Nog is at the end of the road.

Fabio Maldonado vs. Glover Teixeira.......... The touted up and coming star Teixeira should prevail in this one.

Phil Davis vs. Wagner Prado....................... Davis' wrestling and athleticism should prevail.

Demian Maia vs. Rick Story................... Story grinds out a victory.

Jon Fitch vs. Erick Silva............................A big step up in competition for Siva but I feel he will be up for the challenge.

Actually, Bonnar is durable as hell. Jon Jones threw a whole kung fu movie worth of elbows and throws at him, but he was nowhere near finishing him. I think he's going to get embarrassed, but I don't see him getting flat-backed like Forrest was. Submitted maybe, but not finished with strikes.

And that is the problem. Like Chris Leben he is a cementhead who refuses to surrender. Spider will abuse him terribly in this bout. Bonnar's cornerman should keep the white towel handy in order to save Bonnar's brain if it gets too bad.

Ohhh really? I must ask though, how you would not rather be given a triangle choke instead. In BJJ class it always felt so weird to me, pulling a persons head into my groin and squeezing the thighs until they tap.
But if you really want a simple ol rear naked...ok :)
I just got an erection...ok I'll take the triangle choke, naked and covered in oil...

Silva showed utter disdain for Bonnar and made a joke out of him.

Incredibly hard knee to the gut absolutely disabled Bonnar and he folded like a piece of cardboard.

Also, nice to see Big Nog win at home and, hopefully, go out on a high note.

This was inevitable!

Bonner is not only lower quality, but should have known better than to take this fight.

I was hoping to at least see bonnar go into warrior zombie mode. He didn't even get bloodied! Fitch fought very well. Kat...it looks to me like your ass could crack walnuts!

Well I was only .500 in my prognostications I see. Which really sucks, lol.

Silva in my opinion didn't show any respect for Bonnar with his antics against the fence. I felt bad for Bonnar that he had to humiliated like that.

Let's face it Silva could have finished anytime he wanted too. He just toyed with him like a cat with a mouse.

Herman just looked outclassed by a wily veteran in Big Nog. Herman's stand up is just awful. I mean what is with his hand position?

Maldonado is one tough dude. He got hammered but still hung in there and almost got Glover at the end of the first round .

Looks like Rampage is next up for Glover. Rampage has been chirping about fighting someone who will stand and bang with him, well here is his chance. Note to Rampage be careful what you wish for.

Story went to the ground with the wrong guy. Maia looks great at this weight and will be someone to keep an eye on from now on out.

I like this new version of Fitch. Much more aggressive than before. Still think Silva will be a future star in the division however.

All in all a great card and well worth the coin. I also really like the intimacy of the venue and the energy of the crowd.

I don't know, im starting to think that maybe this Glover guy might be a tad bit overrated. I wasn't impressed with his fight. Glover hit the guy with about 100 haymakers but when he didn't go down it seemed like Glover didn't know what to do to finish him. He seemed kind of frustrated, gassed and lost....

Yea the Maldonado dude must have Iron for a chin and I give him all the respect. He should've got some bonus for "chin of the night"lol

Im thinking that Glover is one of those Good For The First 4mins fighters like Melvin Guillard... If you can survive the first 4min then he will rapidly lose stream then you can beat him in the later rounds?

If Page and Glover fight I will pick Rampage to win in the 2nd rd. I'll go with experience
