But that should make next week very exciting.

Last round of matches next sunday, if Inter lose and Roma win the title goes to AS Roma.
(I think thats right, can someone check????)
Inter 2 Siena 2
Roma 2 Atalanta 1
Fiorentina 3 Parma 1
Napoli 3 Milan 1

As much as I respect Roberto Mancini, I do not understand why he keeps substituting Balotelli? Bringing in Suazo was the correct move, but not letting Suazo and Balotelli lead the attack was pure bonehead. If Julio Cruz had been the one substituted, Mr Congeniality's penalty miss would have been irrelevant.

Roma's surge is being done without Totti, Daniel De Rossi is now the leader of the giallorossi. Another Roman, Matteo Flamini may have to content himself with playing in the UEFA, next year.

C'mon Fiorentina, I am backing you this weekend. Would serve the Flamster right, although with his now big bank account, he probably wouldn't care.

IV, on a side note De Rossi is one my favourites in Italy, has he expressed any thoughts on playing in the EPL, I think his game is made for England, or any league really.

Big Michael I know you're an Arsenal fan like me...I find Flamini's comments a bit odd. He said he chose Milan because of Arsenal's wobble, fine...but AC Milan are only 21 pts adrif of Inter and will perhaps be in the UEFA Cup next year. So you have to put it down to greed.

There were rumours Bendtner was being lined up for like 10mil, I would make that sale in a heartbeat!

Time to look forward to the summer transfers and Euro 2008...begins in less than a MONTH!!

Absolutely down to greed. His comments don't make any sense, I mean if Milan has a wobble next year, will he bail on them too? Actually, there is nothing wrong, IMO especially since he is out of contract, with leaving for more money, but at least me man enough to admit it.

If Arsenal was offered 10mil for Bendtner he would be already gone, I think it was for less. Lot's of talk about Ben Arfa coming our way. It looks like they are waiting until after the French Cup to announce it. I think Hleb is going to Inter and Arsene is simply threatening a lawsuit to get a fee instead of a contract buyout. If he does go we will need at least three new players and hope that Walcott, Vela, Traore and Bendtner can step up next year, or we will be finishing in the same position.

maybe the want a another bench warmer of a Frenchmen like Gourcuff...its a shame they didn't field him. Gour is staying for the money..i know he is talented ...looks like its set that Gattuso is moving to German league. I wish him all the best. He is an Icon and i think ACM should adpot the "No Calico for old men" motto. Maldini , Cafu, Ambrosini and Serghino should retire gracefully and bow out. Seedorf should be sold to Ajax while he is still fit. Ronaldo 99 i don't believe will return to form and return to Brasilia league.

Seedorf hasnt declined though, he's been consistently good for them over the years.

I am kind of on the fence about Hleb, I like him and he does a lot of good things for a team, but he does not score enough. His goal contribution is scarce compared to Ljungberg & Pires...damn I wish they still had Pires!

I just read Hleb says he's not a big city man...well what do you call Milan & Barcelona?

I expect big things from Theo in the next year or so. He needs to show more consistency. As for Helb, I agree he doesn't score enough but his control of the ball is simply amazing. I could see he playing better in Spain.

On a side note, in the last 3 years Aresenal has won the same amount of trophies as Fulham, Wigan, and West Ham.

Seedorf is solid, he backed out because he doesnt like Van Basten...I like Holland, but I dont see them doing too much damage this summer.

hey Becks, for all your Arsenal bashing, I need to point out you're a fan of Beckham!

Holland has a solid team, with guys like Sneijder, Robben and Van Nistelroy you better take them seriously. The only reason they didn't go further at the last World Cup is because of the fa*$ot ref. Holland will do much better at this Euro.

Well here's Flamini's side of the story..

http://msn.foxsports.com/soccer/story/8149020/Flamini:-Gunners-missed-the-boat

AC Milan new-boy Mathieu Flamini claims he would still be an Arsenal player had they offered him a contract last summer.

The 24-year-old France midfielder says he asked the Gunners for a new long-term deal at the end of the 2006/07 season, but was told instead to prove his worth to the team.

He went on to be a major influence on Arsene Wenger's side, but agreed to join Milan on a four-year contract earlier this month.

"If Arsenal had offered me a contract last summer, I would still be their player now," Flamini told The Sun.

"Last July I told Arsenal I wanted to extend my contract so, of course, I would have signed if they had offered me a deal - but they didn't.

"They said they wanted me to prove myself first.

"It was difficult for me at the beginning. I had to see it as a challenge but I won't lie, it was not easy. You have to be mentally very strong to cope."

Goal of the Day: Pablo Osvaldo

There isn't a club in Serie A that's better managed than Fiorentina. Pablo Osvaldo was one of the player's they bought with the sale of Luca Toni. Today he scored on a bicycle kick that should make the highlight reel of the major sports networks. With Pato and Balotelli grabbing the spotlight; Osvaldo's exploits have gone unnoticed, now he has condemned Milan to the UEFA Cup. Paired up with Lionel Messi he gives Argentina a fearsome attacking duo - excpet that he's opted to play for Italy and is a member of the Under 21.

This begs the question: Did the Viola tank against Rangers?

IMHO Viola re not Champion League battle hardened...AC Milan is more graceful . Viola faded in UEFA CUP. they will get knocked out early next CL season... Sucks that Inter won...really wanted Roma to win as Inter play boring Calcio for too many years. ? Is Mourinho coming to Inter than?

one thing that I think is totally lacks any class in the Italian game is the fans running on the field and stripping the players of their uniforms, I havent seen this anywhere else in Europe, but as soon as the whistle blows you see the players running in terror and these idiots on the pitch forcing their own players to strip off so they can have souvenirs.
