There is enough evidence of it already. Even once is too much. I’m not saying we don’t need police, but something needs to be done.
I think more training but also more mental health resources for police themselves. It is a hard job, one of the toughest I think.
Police need help and with that help some of the bad apples will be weeded out, leaving a professional service that we need.

No amount of training is going to stop that because cops reacted LIKE THEY'RE TRAINED AND SUPPOSED TO, and that they made the right decision. Therefore, the protests and anger won't stop, even if such a shooting is 1 in 350 million people.
Your "something needs to be done" is a lame cop out response just like your "more training" response makes little sense under the circumstances. There are bad apples in the general public and within the police force. Some of them are bound to do bad things and the law should apply to them just as it does to everyone else.

The man charged the Cop with a knife in his hand FFS. If you charge a Cop with a knife or you whip your Cock out and hold a blade to a woman’s throat on a streetcar call me crazy but I think you’ve greatly increased your chances of ending up dead at the end of the day.
I have had drug abuse/mental health issues/family violence occur in my family. One family member was shot and killed by police. These people for the most part chose their own paths. What ended up happening to these people was predictable to say the least. The only person to blame for their troubles is the person looking back at them in the mirror
