I watched the Graduate last night on Turner Classic Movies (TCM). http://www.tcm.com/index.jsp

Think ya need a newer TV set to watch it.

I'd never sat and viewed the entire movie (don't know why).

Last night I sat there and loved every minute and realize that Mike Nichols was twenty or more years ahead of his time. The Graduate starring Dustin Hoffman was made in 1967. Anne Bancroft was only seven years older than Dustin and had an amazing body. Katharine Ross was a sweetie.

I watched "12 Angre Men" again. Hadn't seen it in 25 years. Brilliant movie. Definitely in the top 100 Movies of all time.

Lee J Cobb and Henry Fonda were brilliant.

You can watch the DIRTY DOZEN on YOUTUBE.

The only drawback is that you have to watch in 20 minute chuncks, and the first chunk is screwed up but it is explained in subtitles.

Watched part of The Graduate and then had to run, but what struck me was the quality of print. Not HD I thought, but I do watch TCM mostly on HD channel 563 on Rogers.

Great channel and interesting to watch the evolution of American mores and manners through the decades.

The Great Henry Fonda

Loved 12 Angry Men, was the old man who nearly stole the film Raymond Massey?

The list of great Henry Fonda films is almost endless. I had not seen Fort Apache since my teens, now that I've seen it again on TCM I love it even more. Name another actor who could talk smack to John Wayne.

The old man was played by Joseph Sweeney. To see Raymond Massey at his best watch Arsenic and Old Lace, another great film seen on TCM.

Ed Begley (Senior) is in this one too. Great movie! Great channel.

But there's also classic movies on CHCH TV, Channel 11. Recently saw a movie that I think was the one from which Devil Wears Prada was based on. It had Joan Crawford in it.

I watched "12 Angre Men" again. Hadn't seen it in 25 years. Brilliant movie. Definitely in the top 100 Movies of all time.

Saw a John Wayne movie on TCM about a month ago.

He has a gun fight with the guy who starred in the TV series The Wild, Wild West (OTOH, I don't think it was Mike Conrad but someone who resembles him?).

Robert Mitchum played the sheriff.

Can't recall the name but I was glued to the TV.

Great stuff!

Love TCM.

For AMC, I pvr everything I want to watch so I can skip through the long commercial breaks.

Better movies are being shown on AMC and without commercials. Watched Dirty Harry last night on TCM and was always distracted by the giant Dirty Harry Week graphic in the bottom right hand corner.
It is bad enough that they put the station's logo there, but this one was huge and in colour. Really distracting!!!
