They stopped having to pay his salary when they bought him out.squash500 said:Does that mean that the Leafs don't have to pay anymore of his salary?
And Raycroft. http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/...etwork&page=nhl/news/newstest.aspx?id=4161658rayfinkel said:Colorado signs UFA forward Darcy Tucker to a 2 year deal worth $4.5-million
If your implying that this reduces the buy out and the future cap hit, absolutely not.squash500 said:Does that mean that the Leafs don't have to pay anymore of his salary?
Mother Teressa was a saint but I wouldn't have wanted her trying to hold on to a one goal lead for my team.slowandeasy said:I hope he plays well. He has handled this past year really well. Seems to be a classy person..
Well, after seeing them give $3.5 million per year to some nobody named Finger, i can't blame Avery for asking at least $4 million per year. Actually, after that boneheaded "Finger" signing, Avery should raise his price.gladheateher said:Avery is looking for long term around $4M a year, so expect to see him sign in Toronto for 6 years for $30M !!!
Are they really trying to sign Avery? You can put me on a 1 year Leafs boycott list if they sign Avery. (Boy will I feel stupid if I boycott the Leafs next year and they win the Stanley cup and Avery scores 40 goals)Doc Holliday said:Well, after seeing them give $3.5 million per year to some nobody named Finger, i can't blame Avery for asking at least $4 million per year. If the Leafs kept DT and he doesn't have it anymore, they can't move him, so what the hell would they do? They are better off without him.gladheateher said:Fletcher might as well have kept Darcy - word is the Buds are very interested in Avery, except Avery is looking for long term around $4M a year, so expect to see him sign in Toronto for 6 years for $30M !!!
Tucker still has game left in him... he just got too comfortable in Toronto. Tucker plays best when he is considered the underdog or he is pissed off, he does not know any other way of playing. I think he will have a very good year.hunter001 said:If the Leafs kept DT and he doesn't have it anymore, they can't move him, so what the hell would they do? They are better off without him.
