Mandatory face masks but they won't enforce it so why bother. You would need 100% compliance to make it work.

I think the vast majority of TTC riders were already wearing masks. But given that we will be seeing more and more riders as we open up I think it's a smart move to make them mandatory.

I don't like wearing a mask and I believe the
risk of catching the virus from breathing when
people around are kept at a distance is minimal.
And yet I am prepared to wear one if the subway
train is more than half-full.

To the people that don't wear a mask out in public-If you don't like wearing a mask , you are definitely not going to like wearing a ventilator mask!

Now I know why I shouldn't mind wearing a mask
in public---I'd be better prepared to like wearing
a respiratory mask later.

It is a bullshit law. Completely unenforceable. Only the sheep will wear masks. Check out the exemptions:

"Those exempt from wearing a facemask include those under the age of two, those with medical reasons, or anyone who would have their ability to breathe impacted."

That means everyone. Absolutely hilarious! Wearing a mask impact everyone's ability to breathe - unless you are a fish in water. Last I checked the Gill-Man was last seen in that abomination movie Shape of Water.
While it may be unenforceable, there is absolutely no question as to the effectiveness of wearing masks to prevent the spread of the virus. Wearing a cloth mask greatly reduces seemingly healthy people from infecting others with coronavirus if they're symptomatic or asymptomatic.

Those who wear masks understand this. They are not sheep. Those who refuse to wear a mask when in stores, on transit and other enclosed areas where you can't practice social distancing, likely fall into one of these groups:

- Don't believe in science
- Think it could make them look weak
- Are self centered and don't care about the heath of others
- Think it infringes on their civil liberties

As for your ridiculous assertion that "wearing a mask impact everyone's ability to breathe" just how on earth have doctors and nurses been able to function normally wearing masks on a regular basis for all these years?

So no, it's not a bullshit law. Sometimes laws are needed to bring awareness and make people do what's right for the good of others. Even if they're not truly enforceable.

Bottom line, if you don't wear a mask while on the TTC, in stores etc. you're nothing more than a self-centered asshole!

I've asked this question in the other thread, but I'll ask again here in case somebody can help me. Does anyone know where I can get fog-free masks because my eyeglasses keep fogging up because of the stupid masks. My masks are all non-medical graded ones, the standard blue ear-looped type.

I need to find some higher quality masks like the ones below.

https://www.bowersmedical.com/onlin...0-procedure-ear-loop-mask-with-anti-fog-foam/
My non-medical masks have a top edge that is slightly firmer & thicker than the rest of the mask. I find if I pinch that top edge so it more closely hugs the bridge of my nose, it greatly reduces the fogging.

If you're affraid, stay the fuck home till this virus goes away!

Im sick and tired of going out of my way for the minority of the people who scared shitless about this virus!]

If you dont want to get sick and are highly paranoid around people, STAY HOME!!!!

This world is for the strong. Hopefully next time a man made virus goes around it kills off the weak in this pussified world!

Anyone of you pro-mask wearers in public cheer on the protesters or went out to support BLM in close proximity to each other lately???? Fucking hippocrates!

By the way I am promask wearers but I do think those who when out demonstrating on BLM are fucking hypocrites. I do believe it a small inconvenient on my part not to spread covid19 to anyone ( healthy or not unhealthy or to Younger people or older people). I personally doing my part in not harming anyone! Staying 6 feet if out for grocery shopping and wearing a mask!

I ask you an honest question and would like an honest answer . What happen by some unlucky chance if you catch covid19 and by some unlucky chance you happen to get a stroke from covid-19. ? It a small possibilities that may come from covid19, there are cases already have happen to young people . Tell me how you feel if you got a stroke from it!

Also there a very good chance you able to fight off and nothing happened to you! It just a minor inconvenience similar effect like a cold and you were the lucky one !

Would you have any regret? If you decide not to error int the side of caution by not wearing a mask.

PS. Please answer these questions honestly!
PPS. If you don't know what a stroke is. Let me tell you part of your body becomes paralyzed! You can google stroke!

Even though most of them (at least in Toronto) were wearing masks?

It might be shocking to you but some of the people protesting against police violence might also think covid is a hoax. There's no law that says being black or being against racism means you are politically left of center or listen to science.

For the first time today I saw a chick out in a mask and thought man she’s hot.
If she took off the mask she may be butt ugly. In this day and age you pick up a woman and bring her home. She takes off her mask and turns out she may have a beard.

I love the cockwombles who automatically call those who comply with wearing a mask "sheep". We're definitely due for a thinning of the herd. Too bad this virus does not discriminate.

Some things I`ve learned about wearing masks in public:

1. Wearing a mask inhibits airflow. People have been known to pass out due to lack of oxygen.
2. Masks trap deadly CO2 that you exhale.
3. If you have COVID-19, and are non-symptomatic, (i.e., feel fine), wearing a mask means you now re-inhale the virus back into your throat, lungs, etc, increasing your chances of getting sick.
4. Masks are normally worn by medical professionals, in sterile hospital settings, i.e. surgeons, who wear them for a short time, say 30 min- hr., they DO NOT touch the mask whatsoever, if so, they must re-scrub before caring on with the operation. (unlike in public, were most people wear their masks for several hours at a time, touch their masks often, by moving them down to their chin when out in public, etc, thus making them VERY contaminated.)

It does. It discriminates against the old and weak.
