Everybody wins, Trump ( POTUS 47th), Putin and Kim will all appear as being the genius that ended the war to their respective bases.
The loser will be Ukraine which is more or less destroyed as a nation.
Russian oil may start to again flow directly to Europe in a few years.
NATO will be almost kneecapped.

It gave West Taiwan pause for thought on their plans to invade Taiwan. It certainly will give Russia second thoughts till it tried again. If NATO actually went full retard, Russia would have lost. But sure, Ukraine should have just surrendered. All countries when faces with a threat should just surrender, because war is a waste of life. </sarcasm>

Interesting about how these people who complain about lives lost want to reward Russia for it's aggression, jeez I wonder how that would work out going forward. Russia wants the Baltic states, better give it to them because war bad hmmkay

If anything NATO should have gone much fuller in, if you actually give a shit about lives and not looking for an excuse to go full Poutine.

Russia and the Ukraine have been scrapping since Ivan the Terrible 500 + years
it got real nasty during the Russian revolution and even nastier during WWII
resentment and hatred from the past still lingers there
Evil deeds have been perpetrated by both sides
Picking sides is a mugs game

no matter how this specific conflict ends , its a safe bet they will rumble again in the future

The Economist my favorite adult magazine makes an interesting case that Trump might be the best chance Ukraine has. Biden has been saying the right shit, but he has been pussyfooting around with said support and without a change Ukraine might as well give up. Although watching Russia face plant has been a lot of fun for many of us, I don't think anyone thinks Ukraine can win or even hold Russia off forever without serious western aid. If they lose I hold the west responsible.

OTOH although Trump has said some pretty disturbing shit he does see himself as a strong man and thus perhaps could be manipulated into going full retard for Ukraine, the chance to play the hero. Maybe. Sadly a slim chance is better than no chance.

Russia and Ukraine are both roughly equally corrupt. However the failure of the Russian invasion and the continued exsistance of Ukraine as a buffer state at the least and an ally at the most is in the strategic interest of NATO. Much like how we supported Kpop Korean even in the first few decades when it was run by asshats and how we supported South Vietnam in the same situation. I have no issues supporting asshats if they are "out" asshats. If Ukraine was somewhere else on the globe and were not strategically important, I wouldn't care much at alll.

If NATO did what the UK did in St Georges Island the invasion would never have happened in the first place. If instead of pussy footing around the west when even partly sex nuts and retard strong there would be no need for endless aid.

Giving Russia a bloody nose, wrecking thier standing army and apparently much of the old shit they had in storage is a good return for the investment, but with more aid we could have gotten more out of it. This dragging shit out, this whole, we will give you weapons but don't use them on military targets against someone targeting your civilians is total bullshit.
