I think Hamas is a better comparison, an essentially dictatorial organization who's entire existence is based on the elimination of what they consider immigrants.

As for your comparison, Jews (in Canada or in Germany) didn't spend a century using violence to try and rid Canada of white people the way that Hamas and its predecessors did. The conditions Palestinians live in have a lot to do with the 100+ years of war that their leaders launched to get rid of Jews. Now I know you can't accept that Arabs can be responsible for their choices but Palestinian leaders rejecting peace definitely have a part to play in their not being peace.
