Here's the reality, he's laying off from major departments and they are still not done.

You're looking at this in 2-D, I'm looking at this in 3-D. So many angles you are not understanding. People who may not have been motivated to vote Democrat last time now have a reason.

It's an election process. Many counties and states can be flipped.

A month in and he's already running out of rope.
Clamping down on waste and fraud is going to negatively impact many people directly and inadvertently.

Real leadership requires looking at long-term benefits. Politicians only care about short term gains, especially during election seasons.

Trump has the wherewithal to understand that the status quo is a train on a collision course.

We had a leader like that in Ontario many years ago named Mike Harris.

You're kinda supposed to back an opinion with some facts and logic. But anyway.
We're talking about what defines appeasement. Up to a million casualties and you're still asking for facts about why this is not Munich 1938.

People don't think anything of the sort. That's just you shoring up a collapsing position in this thread.
I feel for you that you have this unquenchable need to declare victory on forum discussions.

Surely you will take offense, but no one gives a fuck what I think, you think or anyone here thinks. Public opinion is decided at the ballot box. Thankfully.[/QUOTE]

That is pretty accurate. Ukraine has no more troops to send to its death.

Let us see if the warmongers in Germany, UK, France and Canada are going to send their troops to the Frontline. I am doubtful. It is easier to argue for war, if somebody else has to do the fighting.
danmand, I generally don't agree with your perspectives on the world.

Please tell us you are genuinely concerned for Ukrainian life.

I am against anybody, Ukraine or Canadian, being killed in war.

So what's your point, Earp?

That Chamberlain shouldn't have given in to Hitler at Munich, but it would have been okay to surrender to him after the first million British, Russians and French had been killed in 1941?

I'm confused.

I feel for you that you have this unquenchable need to declare victory on forum discussions.

I just want to see you make a point or two which is worth reading and responding to. I'm seeing a lot of shoring up to defend the US GOP position - a position not shared by any other Western government for very powerful and logical reasons. If Trump's position made any sense at all, most of Europe would be following suit. They're not.

Someone else is not arguing for the fighting. Ukraine is.
When they want to stop fighting is up to them.
It is not for America or Trump to decide what is good for Ukraine, or when they stop.
They are trying to strong arm them into accepting "peace" because in the typical infinitely ravenous American fashion they dont give a fuck about them.
All they want is to plunder Ukraine.
They couldn't care less what happens to Ukrainians.

I'd still like you to base that on anything other than a hunch.
Unless your point is that Trump and Musk are deliberately trying to fire Democrats and purge the Federal work force entirely based on politics, which does seem plausible, I would grant you.
I do believe the US government does hire disproportionately military veterans. It is a amongst the various ethnic and gender issues to be reported upon by employers. Government of various levels is, according to this link:
"...far and away the largest employer of veterans. About a quarter of all employed vets work in local, state, or federal governmental agencies."

If Trump decides not to fund Ukraine anymore, then Ukraine is basically "screwed", and not in a good way!!
