I'd have more respect for Trump's actions if he weren't lying through his teeth to justify them. He's either insanely ignorant or has no qualms about blatantly lying to achieve whatever his end-game is.

That's one problem with BYD. The starting price of their EV car is so low that it could very well cause absolute chaos on our roads. I mean, in Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal, there is already a nightmare of traffic on the roads. Can you imagine bringing a car that would make Uber, taxis, and shareable cars obsolete?? The monthly price of a loan would be so low that we would all prefer to buy our own than using Uber/Taxi or renting a car once in a while.
300 mile electric range with an 800 mile ICE on their hybrids. That is just perfect for daily commute and long run in Canada. The new tech also has a 5 minute charge time.

Cut a deal, retool the US manufacturers out of the nation.

Carney needs to step up on this with more than words. He needs to surcharge the energy exports and hurt them for real.

When it comes to economics, I think he's just plain ignorant

Japan and S. Korea now have also said they will retaliate with boycotts and counter-tariffs.
So that anti-US economic block now becomes Canada/Mexico/EU countries/China/Korea/Japan

He has been doing precisely this since his election run in 2016 so how his supporters and voters did not see this coming is mind boggling.

OMG, I almost fainted reading this!

Time to cut better trade deals with the EU, Britain, Korea, Oz and the Kiwi's and any other country that wants a trade deal.

This is why Justin and then Carney were visiting our old and new friends. You should really be jumping on the Carney wagon to fight Trump. UK and the rest will despise Pee Pee just like Dougy does. ;)

Do you know why? NO, you don't, and do you know who for asked for the ev Tarrifs? NO you don't. Imagine that, you know nothing yet spew out nonsense all in support of your cult leader. Did you apply for your green card yet?
It's because now that the "climate crisis" is over and the Libs have decided to abolish the carbon tax because the ponzi scheme served its purpose, there is no need for EVs because the climate is fine. So why encourage people to buy them?

Remember:
When the Liberals do something, it's good.
When someone you just don't like does the same thing, it's bad.

ps Aren't you furious that your Liberal masters have turned into Conservatives? Must be a struggle for you to accept that.

Cry Scoob cry and I can only imagine that if Pee Pee is flushed down the toilet on April 28th the amount of crying will be inspiring. I will be happy dancing for days.

At this point, in terms of policies, will it make a difference?

I've already won seeing as Carney has adopted Poilievre's policies. That must make you so angry! Lol!

Or are you just mad because you won't be getting "rebate" cheque any more?

Yes, he's adopted many of Poilievre's policies, but think about what Carney has said.

Last month, Carney laid out Canada’s required contribution to his climate ambitions: “Canada must invest $2 trillion by 2050 — about $80 billion per year — to become carbon competitive and achieve Net Zero. However, investments in decarbonisation currently run between $10–20 billion annually.” The implication is that another $60-70 billion a year will need to be wrung out of Canadian businesses and consumers, either through direct taxation and government spending or with regulatory browbeating to push Canadians’ savings and investments into global warming initiatives.

How do you think he'll achieve that? Especially since he said he'll cancel the carbon tax? I can't see him suddenly abandoning the climate policies he's been preaching. I don't trust him.
