Everyone goes to Europe to "find themself" but I don't understand what's over there that's so great in all honesty? Maybe I'm missing something...

To find themselves? Been a long time since I heard that. I thought people went to India in the 60's to find themselves, but Europe? People go to Europe for food, drink, culture, scenery. It is an extremely pleasant part of the world to visit. It doesn't sound like what' you're looking for right now though. But, a life without Europe is (probably) a life without flavour!

Given what you describe your needs as, I would go to Hawaii, for reasons outlined in post #16. Tropic paradise with American standards.

Sorry to restart an old thread but I figured it would be better than starting a new one.

Can anyone give specific recommendations of resorts somewhere warm for a single guy in his mid 30's? I'd like to get laid, hopefully with another guest rather than paying for it!
I've been to a couples resort in Varadero that was excellent with a companion but I know it wouldn't be good as a single guy. I have previously been to another family place by myself and that wasn't a whole lot of fun.
