When you land there at the airport are there dogs sniffing your bags?

Did you book a package deal?

What part of cuba did you visit?

Was everyday like a big party?

Best place to get laid?

There have been sniffer dogs checking the luggage when arriving a few times.

For partying, it depends on what type of party you are looking for. There are discos on the resort, and in the cities sometimes. Beer is cheap, or included in the package. Some resorts are in isolated areas, some are close to cities.

I had just returned from Havana, also Varadaro.

This has been my 3 rd trip within a year. People are very friendly good value as far as vacation is concerned.

The chicas are scared out of there minds, if caught conversing with male tourists, if written up 3 times they go to jail, hotels are fined if Cubans are in your room. Forget Varadaro, unless you stay in the resorts and hang with the fellow travellers!

Havana an other story it is the man whore paradise, go to the clubs at night. Hot 18-25 year old girls waiting to grab you and lock on. Blow jobs in the washrooms for $70.00.They ask $100+$40 Driver,$30 room. Cu.Paseos They are very negotiable, they are very aggessive, want you out of the club before some else better catches your eye! Bring lots of condoms, they don't supply! Don't get drunk they will roll you! Happen to a buddy on the tripp, I told to leave his Scarface t-shirt at home!

Well, I've been there a few times, and from my experience, depending on how you look , you can get the gals for free.... They make roughly $25 a month, why pay them $100 for a night,, rip off... not necessary, you can haggle them down, or try getting a NOVIA (girlfriend) and might get some for free (albeit will cost you indirectly).

Paying for it, i'm sure haggling is necessary and possible

I agree don't pay 100 CUC that's crazy. I got what I think was a non pro for 20 CUC and i was only in Havana 1 day. Another girl kept following me and asked my guide in spanish if I was interested.

If you want to book a package deal and stay at a resort where some action is possible. Try Marea de Portillo. it is inexpensive the beach is not that great but you can find some action at the disco, or take a taxi to the nearby town on Saturday night. If you want to be a little more independant try Havana Playas del este area. I am planning a trip ther soon. As for sniffer dogs; don't take that chance, it aint worth it.

I don't know about sniffer dogs but I know every bag coming off the plane I was on was carefully inspected inside and out.

Dude, Cuba is the LAST place to bring any drugs. FORGET about the Canadian embassy trying to save your ass from Cuban prison ass rapers.

No, I've never booked a package deal. If you want girls, you don't want to stay at a hotel because it'd mean a bribe ($$$) or simply won't let the girl in. What you need is a casa particular (private house)...kind of like a local b&b.

I've visited all of Cuba from the west to the east. West is a darker berry than the East. The girls are the lightest in Camaguey and Holguin because of the French settlers from way back.

Everyday wasn't like a big party - really depends on who you go with. One time, I hosted 2 like minded guys and yes...that was like 1 big party. One of them was in his 50s - got propositioned twice by girls we met in a club, but he didn't go for it. Best weekend he had for ages.

Best place to get laid in Havana - this changes all the time. Fri/Sats are always hot, so make sure you book your trip to include weekends. Try Salon Rojo (2nd floor of Habana Libre Hotel), Casa de La Musica, Rio Club (called yur nay), Cafe Cantante and El Chevere. Go in at 11, stay for an hour, if it doesn't change then move.

You could try other cities for pussy and it could be cheaper....but harder to bring home, more hassle, etc etc

I have seen sniffer dogs more at YYZ than in Havana.

They Xray all of the bags and are looking for electric devices that they can confiscate or ask for a lot of money for.

Agree with wetnose, stay at a casa. If you speak Spanish you don't even need to go to the discos. You can meet girls anywhere. A cuban friend told me that getting laid on the first date is a given.
