Have to show some relatives around, what is considered a hot spot in Toronto? I sometimes hang around John St between King and Queen, seems to be a lot of spots around hooters, that whole area from John east to Bay or so, I've been in Earls on King a few times too.

Someone told me of trendy areas on Bathurst also, not sure though and not completely familiar with Tronna trendy areas. Where would tourists want to go be part of the cool crowd, any info is appreciated. Any touristy areas?

West Queen West around Bellwoods... Dundas West for divey bars... the OVO store on Dundas lol.

West Queen West used to house a lot of independent galleries before they all moved to Dundas West but now I think they're all scattered in the Junction area.

Distillery district. Hit St. Lawrence Market for lunch, eat those back bacon sandwiches and do some shopping then wander over to the distillery to walk around and eventually settle in for some afternoon drinks.

It's a better experience in the summer but still not a bad plan.

Make a reservation for lunch in the 360 restaurant at the top of the CN tower.

Meals are pricey , but they are top quality.

It includes free elevator ride up with no waiting in line at all. Then go walk on the glass floor afterwards.

Obviously it depends on your guests' interests and even possibly where they are from.
Hockey Hall of Fame
CN Tower
AGO
The Theater District, take in a show
Casa Loma
If they are not from Canada, just a trip up north to see the fall colours
Niagara Falls
If they have kids, the Science Center
Try to take in a Jays game (being hopeful) or a TFC game or a Leafs game
The Royal Winter Fair (coming soon)

Sorry, just realized some of these may not be trendy, nor hot spots, but some food for thought just the same.

What about taking a guided walking tour. Haunted Walks and Muddy York are 2 companies that offer walking tours.

The Royal also sets up for a few weeks in November. There are some pretty classy equestrian events going on there every year

How would you know? You think Toronto and its citizens are "low class".
Don't be so hard on my sheltered friend fuji. He's naive and more often than not leads with his asshole. He's never been to Orchard Park for a Bills game.

How would you know you claim you don't leave in Toronto, You also claim Toronto and its citizens are low class so why would you hang around the city.

Oh I forgot just like all your other posts you get your answers from google searches.

To answer your question here are some recommendations, any one I would recommend. Just the servce at Lavelle is the worst out of all of the mentions below.

Cibo, Belfast Love, Lavelle Rooftop, Thompson Rooftop, Wildflower, Candyland, El Catrin, Cactus Club, DEQ Terrace, DBar, Kasa Moto, STK, Amsterdam Brewery, Real Sorts Bar. Just to name a few....

I lived in Toronto until a couple years ago and I'm frequently in town.

fuji, I don't believe you've ever lived in Toronto.

Without looking it up tell me where The Silly Sod Pub is and if it's still around.

If you're with a lady friend and you want to take her out for a romantic dinner, Scaramouche is your ticket. Get a window seat overlooking the Davenport Hill, great view of the Toronto skyline from there.
