What is happening to Gord Downie is a sad reminder that life is fragile and random. A former co-worker recently told me that one of her close friends is fighting stage 4 ovarian cancer and another is on oxygen.
I hope all three can delay the grim reaper for as long as humanly possible.

They came a long way from playing cover tunes in front of > 40 people in the 80s. Had a couple of sit downs back then with Gord over a cold one talking hockey. He's a Bruins fan, but I don't hold that against him
