The stings at are focusing on underaged girls is definitely a good start..
But it's only targeting the ones seeking.
They really should do random visits to the women providing services. And ensure they are not doing it against their will.
That will definitely increase the likelihood of catching the traffickers, and decrease the likelihood of them cropping up in the future.

They do this in Durham. Or at least they have. I have had cops book an appointment and when they get into the hotel, they identify themselves as an officer and ask questions about whether I have a pimp, or have drug problems I need help with. That kind of thing. Offering numbers to resources if I needed it. Which I don’t/didn’t of course. Hasn’t happen in a few years so I don’t know if they stopped or if I’m already in their “books” as a full free choice indy.

Would be nice if a LEO(Law Enforcment Officer) would show up and charge some of the scammers out there. Maybe it would deter them from doing it if they got charged for fraud or theft.
