Guess what Laffs fans? Your team is starting to fall back to earth. I hope you enjoyed your little hot start. Because it's back to the basement with you.

Interesting that Bozak is taking up $3.75 million of Leaf cap space. He's on a two way contract and so he
can be sent down if Burke needs more cap room..
it that's the case, then they could get a legitemate #1 center in Brad Richards as Dallas can no longer afford him on the books as they are in financial poo poo.

Well there we have it.

Seriously, who else would the Canadian based teams blame ? The US teams for not letting them win ?

The radio of Canadian teams to U.S teams in the NHL is 1 to 3 and so just pure numbers means you are likely to see a cup in a U.S market then a Canadain market in any given year ....
I think you mean ratio.

No. It's 1:4. The count is six Canadian teams, 24 U.S. teams. Thus, it's 1:4.

Plus, 'than' is comparative, 'then' is sequential. There is no excuse for getting them wrong.

Big.guy is right.

Guys, this is grade 8 mathematics here.

I dont watch hockey but assuming the numbers big.guy quoted are correct ( 6 canadian teams 24 US teams) then...

6/24 = 1/4

The ratio is 1:4.

Holy smokes, I guess they must have skipped fractions and ratios in some grade 8 curriculum's.

Simple math would suggest that a Canadian team should have won the Cup at least 4 times instead of 0 times during Bettman's tenure (except his first 3 months when Montreal won by mistake)

The ref gave the game to the leafs tonight.

I'm not too sure what to think of Kaberle - He is really a great stickhandler. I wish he would shoot a little more.

That Phil Kessel is simply a natural goal scorer. It is a gift, you can't teach skills like that. Wonder how he makes out with the ladies?

Makes up for the one they took away from them against the Islanders

Orr Scores ! What a goal ! lol

Yes is was goalie interference, but it made up for the three easy penalties Florida got away with, one of which was the slash to Armstrong's wrist. Florida interfered with Giggy a few minutes after the goal, they just failed to take advantage. Then Kessel punched Florida's ticket out of town.

agree with most of you, the leafs certainly held the puck with good control. i know it only 3 games into the season, but if they keep playing like this post season is a possibility

Good on Ron Wilson to expose the overhauled and young Pittsburgh D. the Pens will be a different team (better) by February, so it's good the leafs are taking advantage of the weaknesses exposed here by the Pens having No Orpik. No Michalek. No Staal. No Comrie. One d-pair was two career AHL'ers.
