80 games to go...sure it took them 14 games last year to register their 2nd win, but you have to throw caution into the wind. I don't think they'll make the playoffs this season, just as long as they don't give the Bruins another high pick.

Leafs were 100% full value for their win over the Sens 5-1.
Sens looked horrible. Really, really bad.
Spezza looked so rusty he needed some WD40 on his joints.
Alfredsson was non-existent and Kovalev was a big red pylon.
I was impressed by Clarke MacArthur.

Btw, what is with Glen Healy commentating on CBC? I mean could the guy be anymore of a Leaf lover? Sure I get Cherry and his Leaf love because of his man-crush on Gilmour BUT geezus, the only way the Healy could have been more of a homer for the Leafs is as if he has Burke's cock in his mouth.

Every year since 2005, the Leafs don't look good, even on paper. This year - things are going to change.

The remaining seven forward positions are mostly new, consisting of:

- Orr (NYR from last year) - don't really care for him, but I guess we need an "enforcer"
- Sjostrom (NYR from last year) - good role-player
- Armstrong (ATL) - we mostly know about him cause of the Hossa trade (and played with Sydney)
- MacArthur (Buf drafted 2003)
- Brown (Ana/Van drafted 2004)
- Brent (Marlies drafted 2004)
- Zigomanis (drafted 2001)

Will these players make/break the Leafs in 2011? Guess Leafs can also rely on Kadri, Caputi, Hanson from the Marlies throughout the year.

My impression of the 2 wins is that this Leaf team will do a lot better against slower teams. Against a quicker tram like Montreal, which was without the hot goaltender, it's best defenceman and best scorer, the Leafs defence showed it's vulnerability against fast fore checking forwards. They had to hang on to the win with a couple of great saves from Giguere in the final minute. Other than Kaberle, all other D's are pretty slow footed. Ottawa forwards didn't put any pressure at all with it's fore checking and that made the Leafs D look as good.

Anywhere there's a Strip Joint
But put downs and trash talking other teams like this and it's easy too see why Leaf fans are so easily disliked.

No class.
Big difference between trash talking and a joke. Sorry if it was over your head.

Thats something we never got last year with Toskala, and that is what a 7 million dollar a year goalie in Giguere is suppossed to do.

Big test coming up this Wednesday when the Leafs play the Sidney Crosby Penguins.

I hope the Leafs play a fast skating team like the BlackHawks sometime later this year.

Good on Ron Wilson to expose the overhauled and young Pittsburgh D. the Pens will be a different team (better) by February, so it's good the leafs are taking advantage of the weaknesses exposed here by the Pens having No Orpik. No Michalek. No Staal. No Comrie. One d-pair was two career AHL'ers.

Absolutely amazing game by Gustavsson...

looks like the Pens new arena is a curse so far... but it is an awesome arena.

keep this up leafs and we will lead the northeast this season.

That was a very poor effort on the penalty shot by Malkin.
That was a weird approach. At first I thought he was going to skate right out of the building the way he headed straight for the boards.

Is it my imagination, or do the Leafs look stronger on their feet this year? I remember Jason Blake kept getting knocked off his feet last year.
