Return to MLS tournament, TFC first game was a 2-2 tie vs DC United as TFC failed to hold a 2-0 brace by Ayo Akinola.

The rival match against Montreal Impact it's Ayo Akinola again with a spectacular natural hat trick as TFC win 4-3.

TFC now has 4 points and should qualify for the round of 16.

Imagine how strong Toronto will be with Altidore and him up front... With Puzeolo and Piatti to deliver "caviar" passes like yesterday Toronto FC will be top contender for a few seasons still.

That is true he is an american, he played frequently for the USA squad U17 and U20.

He is part of the FC Academy since 2015, which he joined at 15 year old!

When did Pablo Piatti jump to TFC? I haven't been paying attention. He's been a Montreal Impact player for years.

Alphonso Davies plays as a forward for the National Team. He plays as a left back for Bayern Munich and is thriving. See right-wing dandies, the refugee system isn't all bad.

Not the same Piatti ;) Montreal Nacho Piatti went back to Argentina to his former club. That Piatti was the most wonderful player to watch in the MLS. He was unique. That said that new Piatti in Toronto is amazing!!

And Davies was actually often playing mid-field also. But I think in the future even on the Canadian team he will remain left back as he thrives in that position. He can give a boost to the attack while not taking the position of another great attacker like Jonathan David ;)

We can thank Liberian maniac Charles Taylor for gifting us Alphonso Davies. Taylor sparked a Civil War that consumed Sierra Leone and Guinea. His parents were living in a refugee camp in Ghana when he was born. Considering how murderous that war was, his refugee status was straightforward. Growing up in Edmonton must have been a culture shock but at least he didn't have to fear getting his arms chopped off or worse.

What makes Davies a fuoriclasse (world class) even though he's not quite 20, is his pitch sense. He has the natural skills, he's also wise beyond his years on the pitch. The left back position is very important, look at how resurgent AC Milan are with a healthy Andrea Conti. Look at how weak Juve look without Mattia De Sciglio.

The current President of Liberia is George Weah.

The Return to MLS tournament is over and phase one of the regular season begins with TFC vs Vancouver. TFC was dominant as they win 3-0.
