Yeah, people are way too sensitive sometimes. There is no need to hide your views and use certain words only in private (or hide behind a computer screen). Feel free to express them publicly throughout Toronto. Be open and honest, I am sure plenty of people will appreciate the candour and return your views and words in kind.

Also, I know they are just words, but Cracker, Whitey, Twinkie, Manja Cake, Ghost, Redneck, Hillbilly, White Boy, Slim, Snow, White bread, Honkey, White Trash (with poor or “poe” added) et al. can be a tad offensive for these virgin ears.

So apparently the owner and a couple of employees grabbed the shoplifter and locked him in a van until the police arrived. I'm not sure what else they were supposed to do? Let him run away?

I wonder if this was some rural store run by Mr and Mrs Smith that the story would be reported a little differently. They would be heroes and the police would be criticized for being slow to arrive.
