Anyone going to Cancun? Good to know...

Two years ago, I tossed my bikini top aside and dove head-first into the world of adults-only clothing-optional resorts and (save for a few sunburns), never looked back.

It started with a visit to Temptation Resort — a sexy, topless-optional “playground for grownups” in Cancun. The trip arrived at a time when I didn’t even know I needed it. I’d recently come out as bisexual and the open-minded setting allowed me to become more comfortable with my body and explore my desires in a safe space where margaritas are aplenty and the concept of “clothing” is loosely defined.
When the opportunity to return presented itself, I didn’t think twice before packing my bags.

Everyone has their own reasons for visiting Temptation. Some guests come for the never-ending party vibe. Others enjoy the lack of tan-lines. You’ll also find couples who’ve come to explore their sexual fantasies, alongside folks who enjoy a free-spirited environment where anything can happen. As one woman told me, “my husband and I always have great sex when we’re here just imagining what everyone else is doing.”
My raison d’etre: I was seeking a #HotGirlSummer. Coined by rapper Megan Thee Stallion (real name Megan Pete), the hashtag #HotGirlSummer has spread like wildfire across the internet and inspired an eponymous hit single. According to Pete, “being a Hot Girl is about being unapologetically YOU, having fun, being confident, living YOUR truth, being the life of the party.”

While that sounds great, this summer has been more #not than #hot for me. Bogged down with work and family health issues, I haven’t dated in months. Something had to give. What better place to break a dating “fast” than a resort that likens itself to “spring break for adults”?
I found Temptation exactly how I left it, but with a few tweaks. There’s now a relaxing roof-top pool area (perfect for easing out of your bikini top on the first day). While the gift shop still sells lingerie and sex toys, boxes of Viagra were conspicuously absent this time around (intentional, I’m not sure). Most noticeably, the crowd seemed younger and more single, with several bachelorette parties taking up the dance floor each night.

On my second night, I decided to go all in. The theme was “lingerie” so I donned my favourite black negligee and swallowed my insecurities with a shot of tequila. At the party, I found myself surrounded by bodies of all shapes and sizes clad in satin, lace and leather. On the stage, groups of friends grinded and twerked, couples made out, and a middle-aged man in tighty whities danced like no one was watching, as his wife cheered him on.
Passing by the bar, I waved coyly at a hot couple I’d spotted at the pool. They waved back. Giddy, I returned to my room and took sexy selfies to commemorate the occasion.

My last night at the resort found me sprawled out in a cabana on the beach with the couple from the other night. Fireworks exploded over the Caribbean sea, as the man caressed my back and I gently kissed his wife. In that moment one thing was clear: whatever groove I’d lost was back, tenfold.
As women, there are few venues where we can be ourselves and express our sexuality without fear of negative repercussions. Whether your fantasy is to twerk up a storm on the dance floor, reinvigorate your sex life or simply wear that one swimsuit that’s always felt a little revealing, when you find a place where you can do all of these things with zero judgement it feels revelatory; magical even.

With a few hours to kill before my flight the next morning, I jumped in the ocean. Looking back at the shore, I noticed a group of millennial women in stylish swimsuits, taking turns posing for photos; their backs arched and butts expertly positioned to get the perfect shot.
As I waded back to shore, I smiled when heard one of the women instruct her friends, “now everyone say, Hot Girl Summer!” as she took a group photo. It confirmed what I’d suspected all along: that I wasn’t the only one who had (once again) found exactly what they needed that week.

I have fond memories of Club Med and Cancun but that was decades and 40 lbs ago. Way before digital and cellphone cameras.

When I went to Cuba, I remember being shocked when I saw topless women on the beaches.

By the end of my week there, I was used to it.

Of course, this was pre-going to see escorts and I was also going through a bit of a dry spell at the time.

I think digital media has killed off most of the random action
I can still remember when it was a shock to girls their drunken antics ended up on the net

Thanks for sharing. A buddy of mine just got divorced and suggested we go to Temptation Cancun. Based on reviews it seemed to be a lot of couples - I wasn't sure if it is the right party environment for 2 single guys in their 30s (as we don't want to be third invited into a couple).
How was it from a singles perspective?

This thread is useless without photos and or selfies.
I don't want to see pictures of zailbetter with or without his bikini top.

This is a great resort to take a girlfriend. Crazy good things happened when I was there recently.

They need to ban singles from this place.

Where can I find more reviews about this place? I have often been told about this resort. From all the stories, I realized that this is where you can feel free. To be honest, I even thought about flying there. It's just that this year my friend and I want to find a cool place to stay. Where discos and various events will be constantly organized. We were looking at cool swimsuits on https://matchinggear.com/mommy-and-me-swimsuits/. It's just my friend, and I spent a whole year torturing ourselves with diets and grueling workouts to look sexy.

Always clothing optional on my boat, the food is great, always lots to drink, the only drawback is that the skipper is a horny little pirate. Aaarrgh

Yes Club Med is my favourite vacation spot back in the 80s. Topless and clothing optional was the norm at many places back then. There was certainly lots to look at, but also Lots you didn't want to see. After a few days you get used to seeing all yhat bare skin though

My sources tell me that topless sunbathing has been on the decrease upon European beaches for a few years.

I always seem to make it to Europe outside of bikini weather....so I have no data of my own.

Yes, topless and nude have been on the decline. The 20 somethings of our youths are now 40-50 somethings. Also, the demographics has changed. Heard that Lesbos where we saw Emma Thompson in the nude is now a shitpile.

Places change overtime. In Ontario there used be place where clothes we optional. Nothing official at this semi provincial park, but people had no clothes at the end of the beach, Now with Internet and everything it is in the decline. Resorts are the place to be or go. As long as the policy is no cameras allowed.
