Never liked him much but I don't hold this against him. Sharing private photos with someone you are in a relationship with has nothing to do with your job as a politician.
Relationship? Tell us more.........certainly someone who is on a national security and intelligence committee should be aware of the potential for blackmail and espionage. Where did he meet her... on Puddle of Fish?
Odd, I was under the impression he was working with the RCMP to identify the individual who compromised his 'integrity"If he sent these pictures to someone whom he thought to be a consenting adult, it demonstrates a bad judgement on how he develops trust in others who are not trustworthy. Can we trust a man with such bat judgement with questions of national security?
The RCMP are currently investigating the matter to determine the identity of the party responsible for the extortion attempt.”
The RCMP later confirmed they were investigating the complaint. “As such, we cannot further comment at this point,” RCMP spokeswoman Stéphanie Dumoulin said.
He's such an idiot! :caked:He just wanted his severance package to leave, I think he planned this. A Sex scandal no longer deemed to be a character flow for politicians .
Yeah, Yeah, he's trying to find a graceful end to this. Read the news around... he said himself it was not a single event. He might have been caught by a scammer in the end, but let's day the scanner knew his weak point so it must not have been a single event.Odd, I was under the impression he was working with the RCMP to identify the individual who compromised his 'integrity"

You have no idea how security clearance works. It is absolutely cause to be kicked out of caucus. And even worse. With his level of information on the committees he sat on opening himself up to extortion is just about the dumbest thing you can do. Hostile entities literally look to lure in stupid people like this. It's called the "honey pot" and its pretty wide spread knowledge.First of all, Clement is in hot water for "liking" pictures on Instagram. If you don't want your pictures liked, don't post to social media.
Secondly, he shared naughty photos with someone he thought was a willing partner, one that met him and had sex with him. He cheated on his wife, which in this group is hardly an offense.
Third he was trolled and set up for extortion, he called the RCMP.
While I do think he showed poor judgement for sharing naughty pictures, that is hardly worth being kicked out of caucus and losing your job over. Word is that no matter what an "independent" investigation finds, Tony will not be allowed back into caucus.
What’s his Terb handle?
Insta-clement???
As Nesbot is saying, when you deal with national security issues, you are expected to show a high level of judgement. The fact that he did something like this, even with someone he thought he had sex with, shows that he was easily trapped. Don't you think that Russia and other spying nations don't use sophisticated spying techniques, including women (or men, depending on the target's preference...)? What else has he done because of that poor judgement?First of all, Clement is in hot water for "liking" pictures on Instagram. If you don't want your pictures liked, don't post to social media.

The issue here is not about cheating on his wife for which, I agree, would be cause for nobody here to throw him a rock. It's about being arrogant, despising others and pretending you are better than others and giving them lessons and yet showing such a poor judgement. Arrogance does not bring you pity from those you despised.
And he still hasn't anything about it.Trudeau voted no.
