Jeffrey is also partially correct in saying all of these establishments are checked and it has to do with the trafficking of minors. The blue tradesfolk have their eye on this sort of thing and have been known to check the regular working gal, to make sure she's not being trafficked, or forced to work in the trade.

Some hotels that are higher end in Durham, not only cost more then they are worth in my opinion, but are not SP friendly. For example the Quailty Suites and The Residence on consumers or the Holiday Inn on Bloor E. Also, clients won't risk the two new hotels in DT Oshawa.
Hotels are actually limited and the higher volume you are the worse it is. Seeing 2-3 clients spaced out is one thing. Seeing clients 15 mins apart is going to draw attention. However I do agree, I would never use the Motel 6 either.
