I'm sure many of you guys experiencing the problem which many men share. It is hair losing problem. With me it's not that bad, because I'm way under 40. However, I can see my scalp. I know I'm losing my hair very slowly. What shampoo or hair products that available out there to rejuvenate your scalp that actually works?

Thanks again. Let's all help each other, men.:)

That would be the last resort. I still want to keep my hair.

Are there any products that works other than shaving your head?

Even Rogaine/Minoxidil won't restore you to a thick full head of hair. It's a great injustice but so is the fact that 25 year old women done't find 47 year old men "hotter than hot." :(

well....like I said earlier, I still would like to keep my hair. It's not like I'm loosing my hair drastically or rapidly. I'm just starting to lose them.
I would like to prevent this to keep going and rejuvenate my hair.

I’m in the same boat as gl. I’m in my late 40’s and have a slight loss of hair. I tried one of those shampoos that is supposed to thicken hair. It seems to have an effect but I wonder if it is just my imagination.

I may try this rogaine stuff.

I believe gentle_lover is an asian dude, and baldness generally doesn't work quite so well on asians. Gentle_lover, if you notice more hair falling out in the shower, it could be your diet. Generally, if your diet is weak, your body will start to drop hair.

Please excuse my ignorance and lack of cultural understanding here, but in Asian culture is there a greater emphises placed on a full head of hair? Personally, I think that a man can look good bald so long as he has a decent shaped cranium.

Be careful, lots of these so-called cures have sexual side-effects. Try:

See, I try not to take any pills. I prefer something that I apply from outside.
Talking about pills, you guys know BioFen? It's widely available in the supplement stores.

I can't believe I only have a couple suggestions so far!! I guess there are only few of us who actually have the problem, or there is no such things out there to prevent hair loss??

some of us are happy in our own skins, and if our hair thins, that's ok with us? Those who aren't ok with it, are very shallow, and it's good to find out before giving her the house?

My hairline has receded a bit and my hair is now of normal thickness - it was very thick when I was young. I anticipate a bald spot sometime in the next decade or two.

Good diet and avoiding the vast majority of shampoos and foods stored in plastic may help - they're full of estrogenic compounds that may exacerbate the baldness issue.

However, I'd strongly suggest getting over the future loss of hair and just accepting it. Fear of baldness leads to wasting money on snake oil, comb-overs, and bad rugs.

Also rejoice in the studies that show higher testosterone levels in men with male pattern baldness. Baldness affects hair follicles that are especially testosterone-sensitive. Perhaps that explains why I'm good to go twice a day... but completely fails to explain why I'm also completely nonathletic. :)

Lets face it, if there were a decent product out there that reversed hair loss and enabled you to grow back a full head of hair, it would be selling faster than Viagra, there would be no more bald guys, and the inventor would be richer than Bill Gates! Such a product does not exist.

There is nothing you can do. It is a part of who you are, so I would learn to live with it and be comfortable with the person you are. If there was a product out there don't you think it would be well known by all, sorta like Johnson's baby shampoo.
