To button or not to button ... That is the question

Hey guys it's D'arcy again. Still recovering from what seems to be never-ending dental surgery.

So since I can't be giving blowjobs I figured I'd give some fashion advice.

Men if you are doing this immediately immediately stop

1000016707.jpg

Every time I see a man do this I literally cringe and recoil in horror. Before becoming a dick sucker extraordinaire I worked in menswear. So I know a thing or two

The bottom button was never meant to be done up. I don't know why once a man buttons it up they don't realize that it looks ridiculous. The jacket wasn't tailored to have the bottom button done up.

It has been this way since like way way back in Time since like King Henry something or other was too fat of a fuck to do up his bottom button. And ever since then people have been wearing the jacket the same way. They're tailored to have the bottom button open

So for the love of fashion please stop doing the bottom button up.

Especially if you're wearing a belt. Like do you not realize the added bulk you're creating in that area.

And I just want to point out that not everybody needs to wear a double windsor knot in their tie. There are different types of knots for a reason.

Like if you already have a huge neck and then you put on a jumbo double windsor on your tie it's just making you look like you have a thicker neck.

Anyways these are just a few pointers I wanted to point out. Do what you want with the tie advice but man just stop buttoning that bottom button

The closest thing to formal wear I ever put on my body is my tuxedo t-shirt and black jeans.

These days if I put on a suit jacket it is to attend a funeral or memorial service.
And there few will be focused on such minor fashion feau-pas.

Gotta tell you I do do not miss the days of early in my career when I had to wear a dress shirt and tie to sit at my desk or drafting table in a design bureau.
And a suit jacket hung on my chair back in case I had to meet with clients or the boss.

And if you though the old job had you gargling a bunch, dental surgery has you swishing back salt solutions a whole lot more.

LOL…The former CEO at my workplace always used to do up all the buttons on his suits…nobody ever told him because he was an ill-tempered dickhead.

Eventually he got fired…pretty sure this ignorance of basic men’s fashion contributed to his demise (plus being a dickhead).

LOL…Agree to disagree…rocking a giant Windsor knot is the ultimate power move. It asserts dominance wherever you go.

Share a pic my man. Neck down if you resemble Shrek
I'm nothing fantastic. Probably a 4 or 5. I'm tall and physically fit.

I got tired of jumping through the hoops as I age. If a woman's attracted to you genuinely she won't care how you dress.

Chicks are weird that way. I can be wearing overalls working on my house, dirty and sweaty and they tend to dig that look

In the winter I would put on tie before leaving home.
In summer, back when AC in cars was not as common, and older cars when young and poorish AC never worked if the car once had it.
I would do up top shirt button and tie a half windsor knot on the tie while stopped at one or two traffic lights before the office. It depended on which one was red.
Then do the final snug and adjust of the knot in the elevator.

Funny thing is that I still have a rack of about 40 ties on a rack in the corner of the closet.
But dont think I have used more than 2 since the pandemic arrived

Usually top 2 buttons for me. Or none. That's the way I've always rolled.

Oh yes the good old pre-pandemic days. When nobody works from home and everybody was in the office. Clients were plentiful in those days.

Great story about the tie though. 😘

Yeah I mean it definitely has that power look. But just because something is trending doesn't mean it looks good on everybody.

But it's all about confidence so rock whatever makes you feel best. It just is a men's wear consultant I felt I would add a few tips for those who were a bit clueless

Well I would but I'm recovering from dental surgery. Didn't realize that pointing out a little bit of fashion advice would be so offensive to you. Perhaps you need a blowjob 😘
I'm curious to know if the surgeon specifically warned you to refrain from giving blowjobs.;)
