You're right Diode. I hate the inconsiderate pigs who sit at the pump oblivious to the rest of the patrons lined up to get theirs. But it doesn't stop with coffee. I also hate when people sit in the car and: adjust their mirrors, make a cell call, search through their purse, wallet, apply lipstick, anything.
As Frank Zappa said: " The Red zone is for loading and unloading". The pump area is for pumping. For everything else, move out of the way!!!!!!

This is a stupid argument. If you get to the pump before me, I wait with no problems. The POINT is getting coffee and getting GAS are different things. The pump area is not for parking...Its for pumping.
Why block a pump because YOU need coffee. Quite frankly you think your time is more valuable than others. Its quite rude, and inefficient.
Just as rude an inefficient (not to mention non environmentally friendly) as the following statement.....

So you expect me to pump, go in pay for gas, come back, move the car, then go back in and buy donuts?
In which case your either waiting behind me or I am moving on as I would already have my coffee. What about should I choose to get a cold beverage from the gas station the choices that are there, should I still be doing the above, I think not. My time may not be more valuable than yours just as your time is no more valuable than mine.

Yes. Exactly. Right on. Couldn't have said it better myself.
The donuts will make you fat anyway.
So does that mean you would be doing that every time you go to fill up and grab a coffee?

Simple solution...get gas on the way home instead on the way to work. All the coffee drinkers will be caffeined out by then.

Exactly, that is what drive throughs are for. Any one who deliberately blocks the pupms is inconsiderate to both other drivers and to the station personnel. To the dorks who think otherwise, put yourselves in the other person's shoes. You don't like to be inconvenienced, so why should others like it?

BULL PUCKY

mmouse that statement in my previous post means when I pull in for gas at one of these places I am not walking in to pay for gas coming out moving my car and going back in to get a coffee or a cold beverage (lots of choices in pop juice energy drinks milk etc etc....)from the Esso, because some old windbag behind me has his knickers in a knot. But more than likely I already have a coffee in the car from an earlier stop at Tim's.
Finally my time = any one else's time and the reverse is true.

You insult me , Sir!
First of all The Tim's and the Esso have different line ups/cash/ect.
Now you all know that when you get in a line a Tims some dork is going to order a lightly toasted bagal, with butter on One side, and Light Cream cheese on the other.
You are putting yourself into this ridiculous line up.That's fine.
BUT, I just need gas, I may want a coffee but choose to go elsewhere as the line up is too long/ or Tim's is just plain Crappy.
I want gas. Please get out of the way of people who don't want/need coffee at that time.
You do think your time is MORE important. Or you would be polite.
BTW BULL Pucky is fightin' words.....!

Diode, first off please (notice the politeness) don't call me Sir I work for a living. Secondly I think withing the past year I may have gotten gas at one of these places maybe twice and have a cup of coffee in the car from a previous stop at Tim's, I mainly fill up at Pioneer.
Third as in a previous post

I also hate these people who get gas, go inside, line up for coffee, la de da, another is these assholes who after everybody lines up for gas in the same direction, they back in because the first person has not moved so they sneak in backwards like some kind of jerk

My dear Daddy told me Never trust anyone who drinks coffee like its beer.
"Their all crazy in the head!" he would say.
Sorry friend ( btw I'm having some fun with this thread) Please I said...Move your car if the pumps and the Tims lines are busy.
OK!?
