When I see impatient people lined up for gas behind me, not only do I get coffee and then pay for my gas, but I also wipe all my windows, check the oil, etc. When will people realize that their time is no more important than my time.

This is a stupid argument. If you get to the pump before me, I wait with no problems.The POINT is getting coffee and getting GAS are different things.The pump area is not for parking...Its for pumping.
Why block a pump because YOU need coffee. Quite frankly you think your time is more valuble than others. Its quite rude, and inefficient.

Does the pump reset?

Just wondering, if you pump your gas and want to pay for it with cash inside and are considerate by moving your car after you pump , will the next customer be able to pump or does he have to wait for you to pay? I remember when the power went out a few years ago and you moved your car after you pumped, the gas store owners had no idea how much to charge you because it reset.

No. I think you are supposed to leave your car by the pump until you have paid for gas.

Yeah or the Gas station attendants might freak out and call the cops saying that you didn't pay and are trying to leave. You never know.
