It has always been an awkward moment for me when I want to leave a tip. That is, unless I already know I want to tip and "pre-tip" the money in the envelope. Otherwise, I feel like "here is some extra cash because ya fucked me good". It just seems slightly degrading to me. Or am I completely off base on this.

Well assuming if she was good enough to tip that you will be repeating with her as well, you can give her a tip upfront of the next session and explain why. Or better yet, at the end of the great session ask her what he likes in the way of gifts for when you see her next.
You can give her any advice you want. Just don't tell her her she sucks at what she does, her ass is too big or she's crosseyed.jaykraus242 said:

A tip is always appreciated. I think a good way of tipping is once dressed and she walks you to the door, thank her and say "this is for you, I really enjoyed my time" and slip it into her hand. One of my regulars always does this at the end of our session and it is not degrading.. more like icing on an already great cake!
I had an SP ask where is my tip I need a bit extra for Christmas this year. To avoid the situation I gave a little something ($20) but never saw her again.

I have a problem with tipping a girl. When I have a regular girl I find it easy to frequently give her a gift (and in one case I am running out of things to give - and she often surprises me with a gift in return) but that usually only happens after I have seen her a number of times and we are spending out of bed time together. I feel that I pay her for her sack time - when we are together and pay her as she asks - if she wants $300 per hour and I feel I can pay that - that's fine don't charge $250 and then expect a tip and be pissed off when you don't get it. If I see a girl and she gives me anything but her best I will not see her again and to tip makes no difference except to encourage mediocre performance. So let's take tip out of our vocabulary, we are not talking about a minimum wage waiter, clerk at Tim's or porter at a hotel.
I always pay up front but there's no reason why at the end of the session why you can't pull out an extra $20 or whatever you feel like. I doubt anyone would be offended by an unsolicited tip. chances are she's quite aware of what she is doing and has thick skin about things and isn't going to be upset that you are throwing her some extra cash.
