This is an "image matching" service, and it found a match on the digits "08" in each of the images indicated, suggesting that the image may have been copied. (If you follow the link provided to the actual results, and select "toggle" you'll see how close the match is on those digits.)

Normally it would reveal instances where the more interesting parts of the image appeared elsewhere on the web.

Yup. TinEye matched two images of the Helvetica digits '08', which differed by some extraneous info in each: other digits in one instance, and a headless chick in the other.

It's possible their matching algorithm actually recognizes text, and matched exactly for that, since text is content-precise, and therefore TinEye might accept greater mismatch in the rest of the images.

But it would be an opportunity to improve the service. I trust you notified them.
