OK apology. Well scripted and very rehearsed. Right after the apology CNN cut to Attorney Gloria Allred and the porn Star Joslyn James press conference. Fucking ambulance chaser.

Well Tiger faced the music and made his statement, quite emotional to see the event. He told it like it is, took resposibility and admitted guilt for his actions, asked that the press leave his family alone, will continue to seek professional help and doesn't know when he will return to golf, he didn't rule out this year. He also admitted to straying away from his faith, money made him feel he was above society's taboos, but will now return to his Buddhism faith. Noticed his mother and close friends in the front row, but no Elin or kids there. It was odd at the end when he went and hugged all his close friends and mother in the front row, almost like a funeral when you give your condolences to the immediate family, really wieird feeling to me, he should have just left the room.

oh, one more thing, he made it quite clear any questions on whether his wife will return to him or any other question regarding his relationship and family is strictly private between him and his wife, and will not be answered anytime to the press.

the road of life.....
Tiger's statement was a staged public relations event... not a press conference.

Totally staged
Totally controlled
No contrition

He needs to get back to doing what he does best...... the golf world needs him

I just watched it...and thought he did well. Unfortunately, not sure that the scum sucking press will back off...but hopefully he can get on with his life...and back on tour soon. Can't imagine what else he could have said or done at this point...but the cynics will surely question whether this is enough...enjoying their time in the public eye hanging on the Tiger's tale.

It amazes why people are so interested in other people lives. Tiger Wood is famous because he is good at what he does, but off the green people what to know what exactly he is doing. Yeah he messed up and was caught, but who really gives a f**K. He is a human being and we all make mistakes. I'm surprise of other people comment on this board about him..lol.

The golf world will rebound, the loss they are saying (25% to 50%) is bs in my opinion. They have done just fine so far. With these ladies coming forward and saying they messed around with him,, what make them any better than someone who is looking to cash in on the Tigers expense. You really think they came forward to be honest ? No they got paid probably a good lump sum to tell their stories.

Of course it was, we all knew that going in, Tiger made it clear he is making a statement and won't be taking questions, no surprises there.

That's Tiger's way, just like on the golf course.

Don't agree, for someone of his magnitude, being infront of millions watching around the world he made some bold statements of admission.

Agreed, the PGA tour is suffering big time on viewership so far this year.

Don't confuse Tiger's carefully constructed statements admitting guilt.........that were undoubtably written for Tiger by his PR firm, with contrition. Now, was Tiger embarassed by having to voice these statements, yes. Is Tiger sorry that he's been such a hound, or is he sorry he was caught. I believe he's sorry for the later. Call me a cynic.

We both agree that he needs to get back to golf - the PGA needs him.

I think the sex addiction is BS. It's how Hollywood rights a wrong by going to rehab. He's got bigger problems mentally. If your in your 30's with a billion dollars and every hot chick on the planet is trying to bang you, it would be tough for most to be faithful. Like Chris Rock once said, "A man is only as faithful as his options". Sex is the least of his worries.

the "scum sucking press" has nothing to do with it..its only the enormous appetite for the salacious that the general public has,,the press is only the messenger boy.....Woods was able to cut in to the Olypic coverage for gawd sakes...you think Obama coud do that? nooooo, because the press knows that the general public really doesnt want to hear somebody talking in riddles about the economy..

Sorry, don't agree, that's taking it way, way too far. To quote a famous man you might have heard of if you're old enough, " The state has no business in the bedrooms of the nation.”
maybe i should rephrase.....most people who go out of ther way to become famous ie madonna..want the the public to be fascinated with their lives..its called narssissism...people who have enormous talent and then become world famous, have to know, in their heart of hearts that their lives are an open book..again thats the way it is ..or to quote Tiger woods"it is what it is"..Trudeaus quote has nothing to do with this discussion..i think he was referring to legislating morality..no one is saying that Woods should be in trouble with the law..just my opinion ...

Too many damn prior posts to read them all.

There was a really touching moment when Tiger ended his speech and immediately went to the arms of his mom. In the eyes of a mother, a son can do no wrong. Bless all the moms on this Earth and in the heavens above.

imo her body language said otherwise...she looked very uncomfotable , stern, and obviously seemed to me that she just wanted to be somewhere else..

TOTAL BS.

First, he doesn't have to apologize for jack. It's no one's business.

I think he knows this.

This whole thing was done to win back sponsors, endorsements, image, etc.

He might as well said, "Please give me money again ... check out my website and my 1-800 number ... we take cash, credit cards, cheques, etc..."
