I got 2 tickets to the August 28th game against the Blue Jays vs Red Sox at Fenway, had a friend that wanted to go but now he has backed out and I cannot find another taker for the ticket, they are right field grand stand tickets, so I was thinking of going by myself taking the 2 tickets and then trading up to a single better ticket, anyone can suggest if this is sensible, possible and the best way to go about it?

I am quite certain Fenway has a ticket return policy, I have never used it so I can't help you there. Best bet would be to call and ask.

As for taking the tickets with you and trying to upgrade, on game day I presume, I would say you would be out of luck. A small amount of tickets go on sale on game days, but you never know what you are going to get - standing room, obstructed view, etc. I did this one time and got stuck hugging a pole out in the right field section near where your seats are. Don't forget, Fenway is sold out every night, they just passed 500 consecutive sellouts, so swapping on game day will not be a good option.

Call them, ask if you can upgrade and if not, just go and sell the extra one there. However, Jays will be way out of the race by then, so you may not get much for it. :p

I would sell the tickets on StubHub, then buy one you like better on StubHub. Saw the Jays play there last year, sat on the Green Monster. Cool! StubHub is exceptionally easy to use to buy and sell, by the way.

I'd love to get up on top of the Monster. Last time I was down, they didn't have seats up there. I have a couple of opportunities to go back this year, so hopefully it works out.

When you were there, were they taping Sox Appeal? LOL. That was a dating game type show they taped in a section on top of the Monster.

Just imagine, before they had seats there, they had netting along the top to catch the balls. You may have noticed there are ladders still on the wall. People used to climb up there to retreive the balls from the netting.

Didn't see Sox Appeal. Just had a guy taking pictures of fans if you wanted that you could order later off the Red Sox website (they do a nice job putting the game date, team logos, etc on it)

Recorded the game in HD back home (it was on Sportsnet); one of the homers landed just 5 seats from us; neat watching the camera zoom in on us! Green Monster seats are the best IMHO.

I have decided to take the Dr's advice and put them on Stubhub and see how that goes, I put it at slightly below what the average ticket is going for in that section but then again this is Boston so I dont think it will be too difficult to sell.
