Client’s please don’t vote and mess up the results.

This vote already won’t be very accurate due to the limited sample size of providers active on this board.

Clients if you do want to comment, I’m curious how many clients you THINK a provider sees on average in:
- one day?
- one week?

Also let’s avoid any shaming here.
Every provider operates differently. Some are low volume and some are high volume. One isn’t better or worse. So please keep your judgement and morals to yourselves.

We’re all enjoying the same forbidden fruits at the end of the day lol

A well-known sp told me she sees two, or at most three on her available days. But it's a part-time sideline for her, not her primary job or source of income. That's a long way short of 10-15!

I probably should have added to the poll 0-1 per day.

As a low volume Indy provider. I typically only see 1-3 clients per week.

Back in my spa days it was anywhere from 1-5 a day. But it fluctuated often and there were so many outlying factors to how busy or slow a day at the spa would be.

There are a lot who only see 1-2 a week. Some only that per month! Others who might stack 6 one week or shift but then have time off. I have no doubt there are some who can see 5-7 a day, possibly more with short dates and limited service. But there’s no way they’re able to see more than this every day, full-time and especially full-service. If there is someone in this position, I would want to help them get out of it for their own safety and wellbeing!

I would guess a MA might see 5 clients in an 8 hour shift and an SP might see 3, then I went to see the results of the poll with only 5 votes, I am a bit surprized

On a good day, during busier times and assuming i had the energy and mental capacity for it, I'd see up to 4-5 clients a day. But those day don't happen often and my appointments are pretty short.
Right now I'm happy if I get 2 clients in a day, although it also doesn't happen enough with how slow it's been.

I would think that the providers who post on here are rather more established and are more than likely independent, so keep that in mind.
It's not likely that the "high volume" providers would have much of a choice in the matter, or post on this site.

Even if they were 30-minute appointments, the "10-15" per day makes for a LONG shift, and I would hate to see the physical toll on the providers.

You’re right, this is an insular community not representative of the industry as a whole. For sure there are some working very high volume either by choice during concentrated periods or less so.

But I also think it’s a myth the majority are seeing 10-15 people a daily and consistently. I would be surprised if that’s the case. For one, that would astronomically increase the number of clients out there and I highly doubt there are enough to supply the majority of active SWs with 10-15 dates a day.

Quite a lot of established providers started out high volume and we do get to know one another and share information. For myself, I started high volume, including quickies and long shifts. Even then, seven would have been the most and that only happened twice. A high-volume business felt like being an air traffic controller, trying to bring people in and out on time, racing to do maintenance in between! It also required no screening and was just plain exhausting 😓 I have trouble imagining 10-15 TBH but maybe with a third party or spa managing things.

Now I think the sweet spot is trying to strike a balance between earnings and energy. I do much better when I can reinvest some time into myself and have more to give to regulars, time to properly manage things and be fully present with my guests. I would think most providers are trying to strike that balance as well and don’t go balls to the walls every day.

Even if rates are modest (and Penny's are certainly not super-expensive) clients are increasingly short of disposable income. The money that used to be sloshing around in our bank accounts at the end of a month is no longer there. Sacrificed to the twin G's: gas and groceries. Add in your mortgage, rent, car and insurance payments - there goes the monthly budget!

This is true. Some of my regulars that used to see me every week once/week are now seing me every other week. Some are saving for once/month and others are saving for one time a year for their birthday.
The economy has an impact on the amount of clients that can see me , but I am limiting myself at 2/day anyways since I came back from retirement.
I like to focus on my sessions & not rush it.
I book longer sessions too. I am not a 30min kind of provider. I already am struggling to remain inside the 1h timeframe.

I feel the connection with my client is better and more intimate since I am a low volume provider.
I prefer that.

I think we all have our own preferences & style.
I use to take 3-5/day two years ago. It was 30-45-60 min sessions. I rather less clients on longer dates now. Less trafic & more intimacy.

I suspect it varies widely. Based on what providers have told me over the years, I have heard as little as one per week and as much as 13 per day.
