They don't always pick the best locations. They can't always control what the landlord will charge for rent. So, the rent could soar and make a once profitable store not profitable anymore. And, shockingly, they will close those locations. I mean, have you ever been to a mall? Stores shut down all the time for a multitude of reasons, even large stores.
